West Ham UTD FC in 2012

Plans for WHUFC and its Super Casino in 2012.

This will make West Ham UTD 1 of the wealthiest clubs in the world, Plans for 1 of 8 Super Casino’s -

         Artist’s Impression

- have been given the go-ahead to Borough of Newham, London.

This Casino will be built alongside the new West Ham United FC Stadium in the old parcelforce site.

The Casino will be owned by WHUFC and WH Holdings.

Bjorg (West Ham’s complete Owner) had made a very good investment when he purchased WHUFC in 2006 for the sum of £108Million, after completion of the 38 acre site (Which is twice the size of Arsenals land)and the new West Ham Stadium, Training grounds, Academy, Super Casino, and Housing projects, inc Luxury Apartments & community recreation buildings, will be worth in the region of £1Billion.

In my opinion, this all sounds great for the local area, which has unemployent at 5.5%, 5th worse in the whole of the country, but making West Ham Football Club one of the best teams in England is my number 1 wish.

    Looks and sounds impressive.

Does this new era include hanging on to some of those traditional east end values that made most of us fall in love with the club in the first place, I wonder?

I guess whether it does, or it doesn’t, it is gonna happen regardless and it is up to all of to try to do all we can to ensure that those at the top retain some of the uniqueness and tradition of the club whilst embracing the dawning of a new era.

Life moves on bruv, and atmosphere is what we make it, not the bricks and mortar. Without us, all is just a shell.
In 50 years time out great grandchildren will be chanting the song of blowing bubbles, and they will make the stadium thier own like we did with The Boleyn ground.
West Ham will always be the working class palace, theatre of dreams & Academy to the elite, i dont think it will ever change, no matter who owns it, or where it is rebuilt.
Imagine the heartbreak when Arsenal moved from Woolwich to Highbury, at least we keep our stadium in East London where it belongs.

I don’t wish to sound cynical, but where are the train lines on this artists impression? I have a friend who works at DEFRA (The Govt Dept that considers and approves/denies large planning applications such as this one) He has seen the preliminary planning application for the new stadium. He said that the new stadium is served by it’s own tube station, the trains being diverted into the stadium on match days.

Also the road layout doesn’t look right.

I travel past the site daily on the way to work and it doesn’t look THAT big. Maybe I lack the vision!

First Impressions is that it looks a bit “Olympics 2012″ ish

Also I partly agree with the Headmaster in that we are going to lose a lot of the atmosphere of matchday. I love the hustle and bustle of Green St and Barking Road, Nathans, Queens Market and a quick pint before the game. I would hate for that to be replaced by plastic catering a la New Webley/Ashburton Grove and a Prawn sandwich atmosphere at the game.

But as Rooster quite correctly comments … Times have changed.

Hopefully, we (the fans) will be consulted about what WE want and both the supporters and the “Corporates” can be accommodated

You can just make out Carlton Coles shots heading out of the stadium.

“West Ham will always be the working class palace,”

    HAHAHAHAHA

Used to be yes, not any more.
    £50 a ticket?
UP is now full of middle class chinless wonders who create an atmosphere on par with with praying at a Mosque.

Let’s just hope the ticket prices decrease with a larger capacity, but I won’t hold my breath

  • The Headmaster says:

Georgee Paris – lol son. Love it!
