Hammers Heroes 1-1 Spurs Whingers

Tottenham players bellyached all over the pitch on Sunday. Robbie Keane complained to Mike Riley after diving in the first half and not getting the call.

He then complained on the way into the dressing room – only to come back out after the break still steaming about the injustice.

The constant whining must have gotten to Riley because he awarded Tottenham a potentially match-winning penalty in second-half stoppage time.

It looked to be a questionable call that would cost West Ham a point the clearly earned.

But Robert Green – how is he not playing for England – made the save on Jermain Defoe’s attempt, tipping the ball out of harm’s way with the help of the post to secure the 1-1 draw for the Hammers.

It showed yet again how important Green is to this West Ham side – and it felt like karma was at work as the Spurs were denied their first road win after spending most of the day at Upton Park crying about every call.
