West Ham 2-1 Man Utd (The Jinx Continues)
Dec 29, 2007 West Ham News
A well fought game by the Hammers, made this the best home game in almost a year.
The winning goal came from a free kick taken by Noble, and that was superbly placed to Mathew Upson’s head, and resulted in his first ever goal for West Ham.

The 1st Goal came from an unlikely source, and that was Ferdinand’s head, Anton’s brother Rio stood in disbelief, as the ball flew past him inches away and into the net, Its good to see Fedinand back and with a positive attitude.
It could have been at least 4-5 Goals for the hammers had it not been to some bad misses.
Man Utd’s 1st Goal came from Ronaldo, who also missed a penalty, which would have put them 2-0 up, and may have changed the course of the game.
Tevez was welcomed back to Upton Park and made a cross with both his arms, which sent the hammers supporters into a frenzy, We love you Tevez, you will always be welcome back to this club any-day.
Overall, i was pleased with our team’s performance, we dominated 80% of the match, and you knew we was going to score, and the pre-match tactics were spot on today, Why cant you do this every match Curbs?, I also think this win has secured Curbishleys Job, at least till end of season.
This game also proved that we have a great side, but tactics and pre match training is what is vital to win, If we scored what we missed, then hammers could be 6-8 points higher than what we are.
Comments after the match
Alan Curbishley,
If you walk along the corridor here there are pictures of all the players on the walls and I reckon I had a whole wall out injured.
We played ever so well in the first half and we were disappointed to be a goal down. It’s a fantastic result considering I had 16 fit players and lost two more
Alex Ferguson,
I have no complaints. We were beaten by the better team. We were not nearly up to our normal performance.
Scoring the penalty would have killed the game but if you lose goals to set pieces you are not at your best.
It’s difficult to say why but they are human beings and you can’t expect them to be perfect all the time.
My MOM is Upson, and probably Player of the week.
Bring on the Gooners!!!!!!
