Allardyce – any tears? Curbs – any truth?

Any of you with me when I find myself unable to feel much sympathy for Big Fat Sam? I don’t know what it is about the dude but I just can’t stand his apparent arrogance – albeit less evident in recent weeks!

Having said that, how about the whole episode for the latest example of how not to trust anything football men say – particularly ‘vote of confidence’ giving chairmen. On another issue, I wonder how many of us believe Curbs when he says that we aren’t looking to do any business this month!

  • Ive got no tears for Big Sam, but i cant understand why the Geordies sacking him so early, They must think they are a top 4 club.
Where will he go now? I cant see Harry taking the Newcastle job, he loves it down south too much, and he has only just finished his mansion, with the players fees, lol, i should think Shearer will be the manager by the weekend, itwont make any difference, they wont get above us this season.

SAM SALADRICE is vile. I could not stand this guy ever since the DYER incident when they upped their price because they though that we were going around saying we’re getting him on the cheap. His arrogance was evident then.

He should go and apply to WRIGLEYS as a chewing gum tester.

As for NEWCASTLE…they have TOTTENHAM syndrome. They think they are a big club because they have lots of fans and a decent ground. I’m sorry but they need to expect less….aim lower and they’ll have a shorter fall. I see their fans shouting “SHEARER SHEARER”. It says a lot about their footballing knowledge. The guy hasn’t even managed in the conference….you wanna win something then go continental and when he starts work, stay off his back and be happy with a top 10 finish.

I hope that curbs is doing the right thing and offering only misdirection to the press who, as we all know are simply looking to discredit us at any opportunity. He knows only too well that we need to strengthen the squad to progress with the right players for west ham and I trust his judgement. As for fat sam he will probably cry when it happens just like barton

So Big Sam got the sack. It appears that Mike Ashley is now aquiring football knowledge from the Toon army. They appear to want the untried Alan Shearer or is it the fan we see on TV footage telling Big Sam he doesn’t know what his doing? Whoever is appointed has a huge task and with the present squad little chance of turning it around.
Mike Ashley did not aquit himself well asking for an increased fee for Dyer when a fee had already been agreed. Now he has not aquitted himself well by denying Big Sam some time to turn it round.
I think his next U-turn will be to return to the executive stand for match days as unless he can supply quick success he won’t want to be sitting with the Toon army when the next new manager departs .

I hope Shearer gets the Newcastle job, because that would certainly improve Match of the Day!

As for Fat Sam, he’s done well enough out of his brush with the Geordies, £6 million worth, according to rumour, and he probably won’t be out of work for long (but I guess there’s no chance of him working for the Beeb, thankfully), so no need to feel sorry for him.

As for Curbs’s transfer plans, he probably feels that with the injury list shortening, it’ll be like signing a hatful of new players, anyway. What he should be looking out for, IMO, is a creative midfielder. We look different class when Solano is running things, so a younger version of him would be favourite. There must be some itinerant Argies that fit the bill …

Harry will take it!! That is if it is 5m per year 3 year ‘con’tract, so he can leave in 2 yeras with 10m in pocket.
    Would’t you ?
Harry loves wheeling and dealing – he wont be able to resist the hype – never mind how it ends.
I never liked Fat Sam but to sack him after such a short time is madness,
As for the Chairman sitting with the fans, give over its a joke, I think MA has a problem in wanting to be adored by the fans – how long will it last?

  • It seems as i type this, that Shearer may be taking up the post at the magpies, Harry thinks whats left of his promising career is more secure at Portsmouth.
I think fat sam will will be offered a job abroad.
