Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson has warned Curbishley, that any player considered as a potential signing, will have to go through a thorough medical examination, Players will not be considered if they have had long term injuries.

 

BG has also made it very clear that existing players at West Ham will not have parity wages in line with Ljungberg’s, this decision will upset Lucas Neill, as he was hoping to have his wages increased in a new contract,  Bjorgolfur was extremely displeased with the wages given to Ljungberg, which resulted in the departure of Eggert Magnusson.

Under Terence Brown the wages were capped at around £55,000 a week, and this is what BG considers a fair wage for players of West Hams stature.

Its good to see BG putting his foot down, even though this may mean we will never sign another player again.

The BIG FOUR (I really hate calling them that, especially when we beat the biggest club 2-1) never have trouble signing players, due to their standings in the premier League and Champions League status, Major elite players queue up to join these clubs even if the wages are not as high as Ljungberg’s.
