Is Zamora the key to the Euro Door? Chelsea, Spurs

We’ve been caged in 10th place like a prison sentence for weeks now. We have had players come and go from the injury list, even that has not helped, but now Zamora is back, Yes Zamora! the guy a majority of us thought would not be good enough for this new elite West Ham, (lmfhao, Elite my arse) and some even wanted him sold in the transfer window, but, could it be that Zamora might be what we have been waiting for?
He is due to play against the Spurs reserves tonight, a game that could prove influential in Curbs team choice for Saturday against Chelsea, a game Zamora is hoping to be picked for, for his return to 1st team football, and i, for 1, will be hoping he brings some class and skill back into the West Ham side, and if he is picked by Curbs, than a 4-4-2 formation would suit the team best, and then maybe we may get some entertaining football back for us to get excited about.

Spurs have just killed off your Euro dream. By winning the Carling Cup thay have taken one of the places in UEFA meaning you will need to finish in the top 5 to qualify…. no chance of that!
Entertaining football, who cares as long as we win. Football is about winning and i don’t care about pretty football as long as we win football games. Come On You Irons.
Sg i take it your a spurs fan no doubt
I hope Zamora starts banging some goals in,and it looks like we have a very talented player in Freddie Sears who has yet again scored in a reserve match against spurs tonight at orient.A player who will be a star at the hammers in the near future
And Robbie, hate to say it mate but you’re starting to sound like an arsenal fan.
Bang on Fish, i wanna hear people say great things about my team, not how boring they are to watch..
I doubt that Bobby is the key to the Euro door. Actually I think it would be too soon for us to make it into Europe – this squad is not yet ready.
Completely agree with Joe and Fish – winning ain’t everything, not if you are playing boring stuff. Ironically, there are periods during games when we are not boring at all and there is no doubt that Curbs has increased the steeliness of the team and its winning mentality.
8th is the best I expect us to do this year and that would represent astonishing progress.
I was one of those who felt that the z man was not quite good enough but he has scored some very important goals for the team and he must see for himself that we have been woeful up front this season and hopefully he will take his chance and do the business for us!
What the hell are you on about?! West Ham always play good stuff, as a Spurs fan I can only love the way you play. Other teams sacrifice good football for success but West Ham – and Spurs – never compromise their ideals.
Zamora played only 45 minutes btw, Ashton scored though.
Cwoff, we all know who scored, sears had a brilliant game, stoke, zamora, and ashton missed a couple of goals!!
cwoff.nice to hear a non biased opinion on west ham, although harmless banter is good aswell,as long as it dont incite hate, even though our teams are fierce rivals and to me that adds to the entertainment, its good to have an honest opinion as fans without getting all our knickers in a twist…but heres some harmless banter to get the entertainment going…8 points clear…just banter cwoff, and respect to ur comments
Hyping Zamora up is getting a bit tedious. Don’t forget that his form was so bad at the beginning of the season that fans were booing him. I am glad that he is fit now but he won’t get ahead of Cole and Ashton. The occasional substitution maybe and perhaps the odd start for games that don’t matter.
Curbishley is just starting to play with a bid of width now as players come back and even if we are not scoring goals, we are grinding out results and picking up points.
Was I alone in thinking that the Fulham game was half decent? It wasn’t dire like some said……
We have three diffcult games coming up. We should be able to measure ourselves and how far ahead from last season after those 3 games.
Lol Dave!
I completely agree regarding banter. I can handle the rivalry but can’t stand the hatred. A lot of the time though it seems that the banter covers hatred and nothing else…
Anyway 8 points clear and your squad has been decimated for most of the season is impressive. Have to say I have never rated Curbishley (and probably still don’t) although he has done well I can’t see the season ending this way… I don’t think Spurs have ever had an easier run in for the season. Whether that easy run in starts on March 9th though is up to you
Either way, two entertaining teams going head to head is always good.
