Up Ya Brum!! Birmingham
I’m Hyping Zamora up again, and why not? hes been a West Ham hero for ages and still is to me, and still may have the chance to be again very soon.
Whats the chances of Zamora moving to Birmingham in the summer? I doubt very much if the Blues will be the only ones to make an offer, and £4million is a lot of money, but come the end of the season, Zamora might be worth more.
If Fulham manage to survive, then I’m sure Hodgson will make an offer, so its looks like Bobby is on Relegation battlers minds at the moment, and i wouldnt be surprised if even the Spuds put in a bid.
After my last post, (HERE) i noticed there was mixed thoughts about Zamora, which is fair enough, that’s what this Blog is all about, but i find it hard to believe that some supporters forget what he did last season in helping the Hammers survive, Kinda reminds me of the old Bobby we used to love, i didn’t see fans from his day turning there backs on him.
Long Live Zamora and may he play for West Ham until he retires, But if he does move on, i hope Fulham win the battle.

Apart from Bellamy, all of our current forwards have had a tough time from the fans at one point or another:
Cole: Was crucified when he came back into the first team earlier this season. But with hard work he won most of the fans over. I think he’s a decent player who can only get better. He can’t play with Ashton, but is superb at playing the lone role and I’m sure could work well alongside Bellamy/Sears/Zamora… I would keep him.
Ashton: Is getting an absolute grilling from many fans currently for looking overweight, uninterested and lacking in work rate. I must admit I have been disappointed with his performances myself. He looked fine when he came back at the start of the season, it was ater the knee injury suffered at Reading that he seemed to go downhill. I still believe he has what it takes to lead England’s front line with Rooney, but despite what he and John Green says, he does need to lose weight… I don’t care if it’s all muscle (you don’t see any bodybuilders playing football do you? Why? Cos they can’t run and just aren’t mobile at all) – I would get him a personal dietician/trainer in the summer to sort him out – he’s too bulky.
Zamora: Magic last season, but a poor start to this one saw the fans turning on him and saying he’s not good enough for the Premiership!!! Err what?? Yes he looked rusty at the start of the season, and yes he missed some good chances, but the guy has bags of ability, and is very similar to Cole – but whereas Cole’s strength probably is his strength – the Z man has a really good footballing brain and has a better technical ability than Cole – I could see those two being a handful for any defence as a pairing – and both will work their socks off.
With Bellamy and Sears to comeback and come through respectively, our forward line looks good (if all fit) – whether Curbs considers Sears good enough or ready to start pushing for the first team in the summer will determine whether we go out and bring in another front man or not.
Camara can do one, I don’t think I’ve seen him do one thing right since joining!!!
We have to consider whether zamora is as good as a fit bellamy or ashton and for me he is a class below that standard and to play regularly may have to look elswhere. However, there can be no doubt about his commitment or the fact he has scored some vital goals for west ham and right now we need him badly!
