Curbishley: I dont know what to do!
Poor old Curbs has admitted that he hasn’t got a clue what to do regarding this summers transfer window.
Curbs speaking about last summer, went on to say,
“We did spend heavily, but we did also take a lot in, nobody seems to point that out. We had £28million go out, but we took £22million in,” Curbs said.
“Players left and they were replaced, but unfortunately for us the players who came in have not played enough football.
“In the first two weeks of pre-season last summer we had a training game with Parker, Faubert and Bellamy all in the same team. It looked quick, exciting and sharp. Then within a week or two, all three of them had gone.
“If they all get themselves back and fit, then we have got four or five new players already. The big thing for me is hopefully we can get the guys fit for pre-season, so that I have got it in my mind the best squad when we start up again.
“That will obviously affect if we do anything in the summer. I am not too sure what our policy will be over spending or bringing players in, because we have not sat down and had that meeting yet.”
The only advice i would give Curbs is to Keep to the same plans that he had pre-season last year, we will finish around 8-10th place this season without key players, so next season we should should finish around 5th or 6th, and definitely buy Luca Toni, this will guarantee us a further 20+ goals.

Good point regarding Luca Toni, for a proven top class goalscorer, and with Ashton, Bellamy and Sears it is looking more like it. However if curbs can not see that we desperately need a top class left winger to replace both LBM & Ethers then I will be flabbergasted and could no longer support him . We also need a great end of season sale where in my view up to dozen players should be offloaded to buy in, along with Toni, a top class central midfielder and a defender.
