I would get rid of neill too and definitley McCartney, and even Zamora, come to think of it, we basicaly have a 2nd rate team at the moment. oh and Curbs, hes a waste of space.
I think i agree with the selection, i think id keep cole though just incase we need to play the 1 up front to maybe hold on to a 1 nil. G. Mcartney is a decent player very decent but attacking down that left wing he just dont do it enough when he does get down there as soon as he sees someone in his way he plays it to safe and plays the ball back 80% of the time. Ive seen many a game when he has done this especially when we are on a quick break. Id keep him as cover for left back but we need a more attack minded player in my eyes.
Also the jury for me is still out on Lucas Neil hes a top player but for me is to slow. If you look at the majority of left and right backs they are more know firtstly for there pace and second the defending.
Ilford Irons is spot on,how many times have us supporters done our nut, when on a counter attack we decide to play the ball back, it makes me cringe, its gutless play.
Completely agree with Daz and Jimmy season ticket holder, he has been top draw for us, he’s not going to go out and sign 2 new left backs and specs isn’t good enough to cover even as a second left back he’s definately worth a shout. You can tell the people who actually get down to the games with the ones that dont and go purely on the MoTD highlights. Would get rid of LBM/LB/NQ… basically the players that dont have the technique to compete in the PL for all their endevour. Last season (against bolton i think) there was an incident when boa morte was repeatedly giving the ball away and then dropped his head. george McCartney ran the length of the pitch, grabbed boa and told him he was not playing good enough. boa then put in a good performance.
This season he had to do the same for Ljunburg!.
Im sorry but the passion that george McCartney shows is 2nd to none and i don’t think we need a replacement.
when McCartney and Etherington are playing together they are a genuine threat for 90 minutes.
APart from Lucas Neill who is the player who addresses the media after poor performances? saying it was not good enough! we must Crack on! We Will make europe!
Every dressing room needs someone like george McCartney and i am delighted that he is our 1st choice left back.

Totaly agree James, McCartney is a very solid defender who gives 100%, i think most people have forgotten playing behind Matty he was superb but playing behind that pratt LBM hes scared to go forward coz if he gives him the ball he knows he will lose it and be sprinting back like trap 1 at Romford, i am not saying hes the best around but certainly worth keeping as a squad player. From what iv seen so far id get rid of Faubert too, hes a lot of improving to do from to convince me he is quality.

Whoever the guy was who said Julien Faubert should go is crazy and should not be supporting the hammers. Go on Youtube and watch videos of him, tht guy is quality and wait till he is fit, then u’ll be eating your words. Something needs 2 be reviewed though in terms of training ground methods or something as i cant believe how many soft tissue injuries this club has. Let me know wat u think, cos i’m bemused.
