Tired Everton v West Ham’s version of Arsenal Hero Thierry Henry
What started out as a dominating game for Everton in the 1st half, Turned out to be a nightmare the moment Freddie Sears came on the pitch.
Mixed feelings for the Evertonians they’ve dropped two points in their pursuit of Liverpool and that fourth Champions League spot, but if that game had gone on for much longer West Ham would have surely won it. An odd affair, that game: West Ham were a total shambles for the first 25-30 minutes, then Everton took the baton of uselessness and ran with it. On the flip side, there have been some pretty decent performances from the strikers: Yakubu and Ashton both scored, while Sears and Anichebe impressed. Everton will, however, point to Yakubu’s second that wasn’t; they end the day two points and a game behind their arch rivals in the Champions League chase.
West Ham will be disappointed with just a draw, when it could have 4-2 to the Hammers, but congratulations to referee Mark Halsey for providing a near perfect game.
There will be 18 teams in the league that hope Everton do go on & pinch 4th spot and get the Champions League place next season.
It seems we have the making of what will undoubtedly infuriate the Gooners, our own little Thierry henry with a hint of AC Milan’s Pato (Freddie Sears), along with Noble & Tompkins are the new breed of homegrown players, West Ham & England now have a future, thanks to West Ham’s Glorious Academy.

From what i have seen of Freddie Sears today and last week, i have to agree that you do have a young Henry in your ranks, but i dare say he will be gone by 2009, along with Tompkins who also had a fine game today.

As a Gunners fan I must admit that I’ve been impressed by this young lad! Hopefully he can continue to grow and mature and wish him all the best! Always good to see a young kid getting to fulfill their dreams.
