The grass is greener
By Dave Hall
Despite the three four nil losses on the trot, Robert Green has been a solid backbone for the back four and has shown why he should be called up for England.
Looking back at his penalty saves and other superb blocks, we have to be proud of the lad and his abilities. He has been a shining light for our club last season, despite a good deal of low performances from other members of the squad, who at times seemed as though they had already been sitting on the beach. But next season will come around quick enough, and if the likes of Bellamy, Ashton, and Dyer can stay injury free, we won’t just have a solid keeper to be proud of, we will have a team to help us move another step forward.

I would say Green is the main factor that we finished in 10th place.
He is going to be a backbone again to West Ham next season, but we need a stronger defence to help him.

I’ll second that, lets hope we strengthen the defence up in the summer.

Reports have it that we have put a bid in for Dunne, wouldn’t mind him in our squad

Dave: i think that any buying will have to wait until GN gets here, but he would be a good signing, have to be honest though!! i am hoping we could get somebody better

Dave, you have named a few of our class players to play alongside Green and I would struggle to name more than 8 or 9 top class players in total amongst the present squad but when fully fit we have the basis of a formidable team. The grass will surely be greener with a few good signings this summer!

He has been by far our hammer of the year and has saved us countless points, and i agree that if we can keep some of our better players fit we should have a great 4th consecutive season in the premiership, and we have almost built our new training ground so it should be okay, have you heard that this summer Tiago could come to west ham my mate works in spain and knows a guy that works upstairs at Juventus and he says that Tiagos’ move to upton park could be back on!!! UP THE HAMMERS!!!
