Landing Lanzafame

West Ham and Palermo are in a tug of war for the impressive Davide Lanzafame.

Yet despite what is going on it seems the young lad wants to join the hammers for a loan season - and this would be superb for our club, who have had limited goals and options upfront last season, with Bellamy out for most of the games and Zamora and Ashton also struggling with injuries.

He is a rising star with great potential and again showed this against Turkey in the under 21’s in a game that had plenty of bookings. But as reported on newsnow west ham united, he was one of the few players who kept his cool, aswell as scoring an opening goal.

If Nani’s influence can bring this young talent to Upton Park, then this will add even more strength to our firepower come the start of next season. And with Ashton, Bellamy, and our hardworking Zamora on board, it is a season to look forward to; providing Palermo don’t get their hands on him. Lets hope we can get this fella on board. And alongside our refreshed squad after summer, we could all be looking forward to seeing what we lacked so much of last time round…attacking football, the West Ham way.

Dave, you have highlighted what is a real test for Nani and if he succeeds here we can move on with great confidence knowing we have with us one of the real young stars of European football. I am confident that Juventus, having agreed the loan, will honour their commitment particularly as the lad wants to come here but as you know money is king! The other tests we need to pass with distinction are signing Deano and moving out about 8-10 players we do not need and after that things could become very interesting.

I have had a look at all the other EPL teams on newsnow and reading what is happening in relation to transfers, it is quite evident that we are very quiet on the rumours and transfer news, the rumours and news about Lanzafame is 50/50 on him coming to Upton Park and if he does, then maybe he just waiting for nani to give him a lift!! Lets hope he does come, like ironsmith said, next season could become very interesting.

Absolulety agree witth both Joe and ironsmith on this. And if we can get Lanzafame on loan, it’s not such a bad thing, because he will put the effort in just to show other clubs where he wants to go, aswell as giving us the lift we need so that we can push forward in the coming years. He scratches our back, we’ll scratch his.
