Lanzafame set for West Ham Move

The Amauri deal involving Lanzafame who will be part owned by Palermo and Juventus has taken a sudden twist, it is now believed that Juve and palermo will agree a deal to let Lanzafame take advantage of a season long loan at West Ham, where he will achieve Premier League status and then like Tevez, he may attract the attention of larger Premier League clubs.

West Ham may get first option to buy Lanzafame after the loan, but only if the price and wages are agreed.
Lanzafame has benn quoted by the media saying that West Ham United would be his 1st choice of team for the new season.

Whilst this move sounds very exciting it still begs the question - if he is that good why is he not getting a game with Juventus?

I had a feeling that his intentions were to use West Ham to gain status but at the end of the day, a loan is better than nothing.

And why would we want be Juve’s shop window? Have we learned nothing from the Tevez / Mascherano saga? If he doesn’t want to come to us for the right reasons forget it.

Please dont go down the carlos road again, buy him or forget about it . Remember this time last season we were told we were getting everybody and we got nobody only crap. I do fear the worst as there seems to be no one looking to come to the club. I do like Curbs but watching a game is dreadful , but on saying that west ham is my team and no matter how bad it gets i will follow them

Having him on loan isn’t that bad, and he is a rising star. Who knows, maybe if we do well enough next season maybe, just maybe, we might buy the guy if the price is right. We have to remember that we are a club on the move but the transfers we want won’t happen over night.

Well said Dave! It is just a matter of patience but this would be a great opportunity for us  and whereas it all went wrong with Tevez, having these great players associated with West Ham under the correct circumstances can only be a good thing.

I really can not see what the fuss is about, who sais he is a great player, his agent. He hardly set the italian league alight otherwise we wouldn’t even get a sniff and where would he play? in Italy he plays on the right wing most weeks, we already have Faubert, Dyer and Llundberg that can play there. If he is a striker then in what pecking order for the first team, above Sears, Bellamy or Ashton who thankfully looks like staying. I agree he may be better than Cole or Zamora but there is no evidence for that and the Premiership is very different to Seria A. We have had a number of so called young foreign strikers of late that have all basically flopped. Why dont we concentrate on buying someone to give Bellamy and Ashton something to think about, I still like the idea of Goudjohnson, a little older but showed he has desire by staying at Barca despite being down the pecking order, if nothing else his expereince should bring Stokes and Sears so much needed first hand training. Not so long ago we were also talking about Toni, that seems to of died if there was ever any truth. If we want to move on we have to balance expereince with youth and we could do with an old and clever head upfront, Sherringham in the first two seasons demonstrated that and probably helped in trainning, plus he managed to win all the money in card schools making sure the players needed the win bonus.

Looks like a good signing, however i can see him being snapped up by a bigger club by the end of the year.

Why would we want Gudjohnsson,he’s injury prone, and haven’t we had enough of that last season. Our club can bring in up and coming players when possible, thats why Nani has been brought in. Simom your point is that we will never get a look in at class players…so we’re doomed to this status for life then…according to you. I for one am looking forward and being positive not negative. And he is a player with potential and even if we only  get one season from him, we’ll see what he’s made of.

The 4-3-3 is interesting Dan,and we are all looking forward to seeing more of Sears, but he still is a lad who has got to develope more of his natural skills, so he probably won’t always get a look in yet. Bringing in someone like Lanzafame is a good option, even if it’s only a loan deal and shows a good carefull attitude from the club and owner.
