Repair or Despair
Personally I am pleased we are safe this season, but i’ll be glad when the last game is over.
A serious matter is being addressed at West Ham in the summer…why all the injuries? Indeed it is serious and its more than just bad luck that we have had such a crisis. Many areas will be looked at, including diet, training, and equipment. This must be dealt with if we are to avoid this situation again, otherwise we might not even get away with mid table next time round.
Our club has the potential to move forward next season - and with many players inevitably moving on, and some coming in, topped with players coming back from injury, we can go further. But first and foremost, these injury problems must be remedied.

100% true dave, the 1st priority for the board is to decide if Curbs is good enough to move West Ham forward

I agree with you about Curbishley Rooster. Some may think me and many fans are being fickle, but to be honest ,despite injuries Curbishley doesn’t seem to have a clue what he is doing. I’m probably wrong, but I have a feeling we may see a new manager next season.

I think a bit of Despair and Repair next year we definatley need changes, new faces and squad trimming top priority.
Manager: Alan Curbishley
GK Robert Green Marek Stech
RB Marco Zambelli (£8M) John Pantsil
CB Anton Ferdinand Danny Gabbidon
CB Matthew Upson James Tomkins
LB George McCartney Nicky Shorey (£6M)
RM Julien Faubert Nolberto Solano
CM Mark Noble Kieron Dyer
CM Scott Parker Lee Bowyer
LM Fredrik Ljungberg Matthew Etherington
CF Dean Ashton Darren Bent (£10M)
CF Craig Bellamy Bobby Zamora
Transfer fund Required: £25M - Curbishley
For young top players: £15M - Gianluca Nani
1. Injury crises sorted.
2. Squad Trimming (Around 10 Players out the door).
3. New Training complex pland ready for building.
4. Stadium plans finally sorted for a new 50,000 seater.
Then we should be enjoying Uefa Cup football for the 2009/2010 season.

I have to admit I do not know too much about the facilities at chadwell heath but would assume that the new training ground will be state of the art and this of course will help. BG has at least recognised that we have a major problem and initiated an enquiry . The match yesterday was simply a reflection of the serious problem we have had this year and I strongly feel we would have finished higher and in europe without the injuries. We will know sooner or later why this happened(BG will deal appropriately with this) but should not despair just repair for now and more importantly reinvest in fit young players in the summer. BG will have decided by now whether AC is the man to take us forward and like you Dave, I will be happy for the season to end and we can all, hopefully, enjoy a very interesting summer.

The one major change should be a new manager someone who will take the club forward, someone who will invest in youth, not buy old crocked players that nobody else wants and someone who will play the west ham way, curbs this is not charlton

Claret n Blue Boy, Well said with the squad a few minor changes would make a difference, but the manager has got to go, he’s a Small Club manager he will destroy the club if he doesn’t go, his comments all season pass the blame to someone else not once does he admit he doesn’t have a clue, wouldn’t expect him too really but results and situation at the club prove that he doesn’t have a clue, why all the injuries, the only change has been Curbs and his staff and now we have all these problems surely that says something, if BG doesn’t get rid then I think its a waste of time building a new stadium, it will be half empty, not even half full!!

Yesterday was an absolute disgrace. Playing 4 5 1 against 10 men, we didnt look lie a premiership team, we were frightened of Manure, Curbishley must must go. So many not taking up season tickets next year hopefully BG will see the light in time.

“RB Marco Zambelli (£8M) John Pantsil”
Hilarious. Pantsil is quite possibly the worst player I have ever seen play for us. Spector and Neill are vastly superior. Lucas Neill is perfectly adequate competition for any new full back that may join.
