Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is determined to capture West Ham’s Dean Ashton & Barcelona Samuel Eto.
Dimitar Berbatov seems certain to make a move either to Man Utd or Chelsea this summer.
Ramos has a budget of £30 Million to spend on replacements and a large chunk of that will be to try and buy Eto at around £24m.
West Ham are still in the process of having contract negotiations with Ashton and the Hammers will be determined to keep a hold of the newly ignited Striker, and if he was to move on his value is reckoned to be worth £15m+.
West Ham are looking to improve on season 07/08 and are looking at at the minimum of 5-6th place next season, and losing Ashton would prove to be a very negative start to the mission of improving league standings.

Totally agree with you logicz and Big Sauze, it astounds me why they come on here in the first place. Ashton’s agent has clearly came up with this story, much like he did with the Man U link. Dean has just started talking contacts with his club, its the same ols story…. a player wants more money so he says that others want him. Sorry but we dont. As for Westham getting in the top six, Im sorry but even my brother a die hard Hammer would just be happy with a top ten finish and so he should be. No offence meant but Westham dont have the money th really get much higher. They have spent most on new training grounds and are thinking of rebuilding the stadium……again. As for Spurs, I think it will be an interesting silly seasons and one that will be fully of speculation even more then most.
Both clubs want to be in the top six but Spurs are the only club that have the means to do so. Which is a shame as both clubs try to play football in the right manner, and both have a great history. Why Hammers fans are so pissed of with us Yids is anyones guess. Probably as they have a little bit of the green eyed monster in them. As they havent won anything in a long time but again this is a shame as a even spread of wealth would make the game more interesting.

I think we will move forward, but we have to be patient, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Times are changing, and I do believe we will move to each level at a gradual pace. Spurs have a great history , but we have had our moments, but thats history. And providing Curbishley can come up with the goods, we must live in hope and not despair. Lets keep our chins up and think positive…the best is yet to come.

First off, I’ve always liked West Ham. They have always tried to play the game the right way, unlike Chavski or the Woolwich Wanderers (untill recently).
Ashton is a solid player (despite injuries) and a good Prem striker. However, as a replacement for Berbatov, it would be a backward step and not take Spurs any further forward. The price quoted makes Bent look a bargain. Incidently he has the best goals ratio per minutes played this season at Spurs).
