Transfer News: West Ham would be my First Choice, not Newcastle!

Eidur Gudjohnsen, Star Player of the Mourinho era at Chelsea
Eidur Gudjohnsen spoke on and said if he was to leave Barcelona and went to the Premier League, then it would be to West Ham and not Newcastle.
His main reasons were because of his close friends, who live in London and his relationship with West Ham’s Icelandic owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson, who has spoken to Gudjohnsen about his ambitions for West Ham and how he would love for him to be a part of the Hammers future.
He said that Barcelona have given him permission to leave and that his agents are soon to start talks with a premier league club in regards to his future.
West Ham’s Manager Alan Curbishley has tried to persuade Gudjohnsen to come to the Hammers since last year and also with the aid of BG talking to the player.
It may all depend on what West Ham have to offer Gudjohnsen. and if it is anything like what they gave to Ashton, i am sure he will be at Upton Park by end of June, and like Ashton, he would not give the Toons a second glance.

Adebayor is not linked with Newcastle, it’s Martins linked with Arsenal to replace him that is, read the articles!!As a newcastle fan I couldn’t care what other people think we are or not, whether we are a joke are not, but I believe given time we’ll be back in Europe. Good luck top WHU though.

Very amusing, West Ham fans accusing Newcastle of being uderachieving and a joke of a club. How about booing your team off after a win, forcing players out because of your shocking support (reo-coker), rubbish little ground and spent a couple of seasons in the championship? Only last 2 years have Newcasle finished bottom (12th 13th) before that being the only club outside the top 4 to get into the champions league proper. Yeah you’re right West Ham are MASSIVE and Newcastle are really hilarious to laugh at. I suppose being fifth in the all time premier league points accumulator is real comedy and highlights how much better West Ham are than NUFC. What you Newcatle fans are missing is that despite your infantile comments about Cockneys, is that West Ham still remains the team that all teams try to beat at Upton Park, the undisputed Home of the Academy of Football. We could also be very infantile and ask when was the last time your team won anything, was it the Inter Cities Fairs Cup? but we wouldn’t demean ourselves.The strong liklihood is that Eidur will choos West Ham because of our Icelandic connection and because having lived in London previously he would most probably prefer to move back there.Also despite your comments Kevin Keegan is a good inspirational manager, but every manager is only as good as his last result, you cannot keep harping back to the time when you were neck and neckc with Man United, that’s history, your club needs to be judged on its recent record and it made an almigjty balls up in getting rid of Bobby Robson, the guy is different class!

Plenty on here need to grow up - on both ’sides’. A bit unfair of some of you WHU lads to be calling Newcastle lads on here infantile. Plenty of you are no better. For some of you to slate Newcastle as a place is laughable given the state of the place around the Boleyn. I know what I’m on about - I’ve lived within a mile of it for the last twenty years. My two lads have to wade ankle deep in peoples’ rubbish in the street to get to school! I can’t wait to get them out of this place, preferably back up to Newcastle where I’m from.
Honestly though, all that ‘cockney w****ers’ and ‘northern inbreds’ stuff is just pathetic and as old as the hills. As for the ‘Acadamy of Football’ - well that’s just what it is really because whether you like it or not, most of the young talent from WHU in the last few years all moved on to bigger clubs with more ambition. Not knocking WHU, but that can’t be denied. So to be cracking on at Newcastle as a joke is, well, a joke. We’ve yet to see what ambition the new crowd at Newcastle have got anyway, so let’s look forward to next season and see how it turns out. The business here is supposed to be football, not petty parochial gobshite, so to get back on topic - I couldn’t care less if he wants to go to WHU, for whatever reasons. I’m only interested in players who want to play for Newcastle.

Well Joe, a few sparks flying here and there on this one! What would we expect from two hugely ambitious clubs who would both dearly love to sign him? Is he a good signing?- in a word -yes! There are better to be had though. How about if we all keep our insults for the games only and both sets of fans do rather well here! As an NUFC fan, we’ve nowt to crow about right now so I’d personally keep all slagging off of other fans to a minimum, and as West Ham have hardly set the world alight too, I’d also recommend the same to the Hammers. The lad wants to sign for the Hammers, let him, good luck to him. I’ll keep it quiet and see who (or indeed if) NUFC sign anyone this close season.
