Another Hero Gone!!

He was fun to watch, and scored a couple of fantastic goals with his free kicks from 30 yards out, he probably did more for West Ham in the 25 matches than some players have done in 3 years for the club.

Nobby Solano, Thanks for giving your all to the Club as you did to Newcastle, i can certainly understand why the Magpies call you a hero too.

I hope Nobby does go to Hull City, Hull needs a player with experience and skills for their fight to survive that agonising first season on the top tier of English football.

Good Luck Nobby, i guarantee you will always be welcome back at the Boleyn Ground, and it would be great if you became manager of Newcastle one day, they certainly could do with a decent one.

Another bit of shrewd business from Curbs (to*ser) get rid of quality and keep LBM…outstanding, another WestHam Triumph I’m backing them to finish 14th-17th next season and be beaten twice by Hull City!! the rate WestHam are going there gonna miss out on all the decent young english players again and be left with has beens AGAIN! Curbs has to go in my opinion and dont you lot maon when WestHam get relegated then spout off he should have been fired, he useless narrow minded small minded tactically inept just plain CRAP!

  • Pepin - Czech Hammer says:

I am getting pissed by the exaggerated criticism of Curbs. Yes, last season football was dull, yes some tactics and substitutions were strange, yes he bought some crap players, but there were certain circumstancies (he was buying players when nobody wanted to WHU, injuries last season etc.) which should be taken into the account. What the f..k is all this about. Get behind the team and manager. He did the job requested in the end – he saved us from the relegation and stabilised us in 10th possition the next season. Give him some rest and let him show if he realy can get us where we want to see us or not.Do you know our history (support of managers through good times and the bad)? Do not make us look fickle as Spuds fans do, please. As to Nobby – he was very good for us last season and many thanks to him for his service. However with players getting back from treatment room and him getting older I can not see him getting many playing time next season. We have Faubert, Dyer, Ljungberg, Ethers, Bowyer, Noble, Parker, Mullins, Collison, LBM……….. Paintsil, Spector can also play in midfield. If we need to bring some new players and relieve the pay-roll, midfield is the area where to sell. And although LBM would definitely be peoples choice, I would sell Nobby first.COME ON U IRONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!….and f…cking support and do not still criticise (it is summer time anyway)

i cant disagree with any of that well said GET UP THERE YOU IRONS !!!  we are meant to be west ham fans dont forget it always kp the faith

Do you people just love to slag Alan Curbishley off, i mean less face facts, Nolberto Solano was never going to be signed to another contract and if he was quite franckley id be dissapointed, yes he was a good player when he played but he got injured too easily and we have far too many options on the right side, plus he’s 34 years old. We need a mass clearout of many of our injury prone players and fringe players.Players that should be sold:Gk Richard Wright – Marek Stech is coming throughGK Jimmy Walker – Getting slightly too old now to have any impact.CB Anton Ferdinand – I would like to keep him but seems we wont.CB Calum Davenport – Does not fit the bill.RM Nolberto Solano – Have many options on the right flank.RM Fredrik Ljungberg – Wages far too high.CM Nigel Quashie – Simply not good enough.CM Hayden Mullins – A great servant but i believe he will struggle to get into the first team line-up next season and he is too good to be a reserve.

What is the fuss about Solano? He was average last season, he is getting on a bit and yes he did score a couple of good goals. Mouth almighty GJF sounds off again with very little substance to back up the rants. What is required at West Ham is a bit of stability and less negativity from some of the so called fans like GJF. He may well have the best interests of West Ham at heart and he is entitled to his opinion. But if he doesn’t like what is going on at West Ham, then don’t go. That is a choice all of us have. We improved last season. My belief is that we will challenge for about 8th place next season and thereafter try and challenge for 6th. West Ham will not get relegated next season. I am not a great fan of Curbishley but he is better than that! Wait and see and for f**ks say be patient.

  • He was OK, but definitely not hero status!
