Kia Joorabchian to buy West Ham?
As crazy as it sounds this is still a possibility. Kia failed in his bid to buy West Ham in 2006 and still has strong
desires to own the Club.
The out of court settlement, where Kia dropped his £7.1m lawsuit and instead will act as a transfer consultant for the Hammers is a bit mysterious but also probable.
I find it hard to believe Kia would be happy to lose £7.1m or even £1m, and be willing to gain his money back on future transfers to Upton Park, this will take years to even get anywhere near to what he claims West Ham owe him considering not every player he brings to Upton park will be like Tevez or Mascherano and reap the same profits for the Iranian, and we know that BG is suffering from the credit crunch, the new stadium is virtually a thing of the past and the lack of any spending this summer does worry me, maybe if BG showed a little more enthusiasm or even now and then make a statement to the fans, we may all feel a little bit more reassured.
I hope i am wrong and my feelings are just paranoia, but crazier things have happened to our fantastic club, does our future hang in the balance of some money grabbing user?

I was in 2 minds to let this post go through Ozzy, after reading it a couple of times i realised it would be interesting to see the reaction.
It would be very easy to slate the post, but if every fan sat back and thought of the things that have happened to the club over the years, then Kia buying the Hammers does not seem so far fetched. But saying that…. LETS HOPE ITS ALL A BAD DREAM OF YOURS OZZY

Nothing would suprise me, and could happen. Wouldn’t be so different as whats happened at Man City, i think Kia is looking for a “parking” club to put his best prospects and then sell on at a higher price later than a “massive” club who would be buying. West Ham are a good fit, since they should be playing at the highest level, but are unlikely to ever have the spending power of the likes of Man U, Inter Milan, Barcelona etc to outbid for the best players.

I believe the future of all clubs in this country hang in the balance as a result of some money grabbing users at some stage, thats unfortunately how football is today more so a business than the sport of years gone by, and its done the game, clubs or fans no favours at all, I was once a regular at Hammers matches but afraid am unable to afford the ticket prices anymore.

Well done OZ, if everyone read my comment recently they will have seen that BG has been advised by his son to get out of WHU, he says that it is a bad investment! BG is rarely at our home games where as his son is, being the family representative. We all thought that he would be taking a stronger role, but it seems that is not going to be the case. I think there is a lot of mileage in this story, I have heard this directly from Upton Park.

there is some pretty bored people out there, i know England aint in the Euro’s and theres only so much crap you can make up about Ronaldo, but Pleeeease we are owned by a billionaire who owns a bank, do you really think he would buy an English football club without planning on future returns? no neither do the rest of us, cmon lets start spreading somr rumours aboput selling the crap in our team and it might come true, Lucas Neil, Mullins Quassie MCcartney cole Pantsil, roll up going cheap hardly used as they done fu*k all last season.

This story is interesting and FFS something to talk about at last, i used to go to KUMB’s site all the time, but its so boring now with nothing to talk about.I hope KIA does buy the club, if it means we get the worlds best players and i get some enjoyment for my money, then so be it.

hammer4life, we all want to see exciting football at upton park and a bit of enjoyment for our money
but come on, you would actually be happy if this guy bought us out. we would have no future and no stability. and stability is proving to be one of the most important factors these days in football.
to have this guy take over would be an absolute disaster for our club and should be avoided at all costs
there are better ways to get our money’s worth - bring back the hammerettes for example

Is it just me, this lack of money seems a bit strange, last season with the players we let go ( reo coker / harewood etc ) we only spent about 7 - 8 mill. Where is all the money?. We are supposed to be able to contend with the so called bigger teams yet all we here is there is no money for players / wages. Season tickets are going up, again. Lets just hope we are bluffing cos we don’t want to be seen as Moneybags west ham and pay over the odds for average players. Just a rant! Cheers.

I agree with Sam, Hammerettes were great to watch but more importantly, Kia will never get the Hammers fans approval, unless he promised to spend £100m on new players and a new stadium by 2012, sounds more or less like what BG promised us.. lol

Big Sauze, Nialls is right, it was published last week.go on google, type west ham news, top result will be news now. for those who do not know, news now scans every media source for west ham news, ru,ours etc, and update their page every five minutes. you hear some tripe on there, but are usually first to hear the truth too.Hope this helps some who did not use this.

Kyle, i did what you said and i couldnt find anything, cant you give us a direct link?and actually you are wrong about NewsNow, it does not scan the web for west ham news, its a paid advertising site for those who want their blogs, websites posts published via RSS feed.Direct Link please! coz this is the first time ive read about this post, and i read just about everything that is said about the Hammers.

Why do we need to spend money like Spurs etc to be reassured? last summer we got rid of alot of ego’s from Upton Park and Curbs brought in some good balance across the park… just were unlucky that none stayed fit….! And again, this needs to happen this summer. We have alot of average shite in the club and its time we culled a good few. I’d hate to become a club that just goes out and buys alot of players. We have a tradition at this club to scout and bring through the best young players in England. We saw last year we have a few more on that production line. I honestly think BG has a long-term plan for this club. Stage 1 - was staying in the Premiership to which he backed Curbs with cash in January 2007 and it worked. Stage 2 - consolidation, which again he has backed with money, not lots but i’m sure Curbs got most of his wanted-list last summer. Stage 3 - Pushing this club forward. He’s appointed Nanni, we are looking at all levels of the club and changes are being made. I think BG is a clever man, i read a post on another fan-site where some pointed out that we can use Kia and his links to bring in South American talent and pay him that way………….. if this is true then BG is a Legend..!

apologies, here is the link, i hope it works.A lot of it is rubbish, but you will hear most true things somewhere on here before they hit the big names like sky sports.http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/West+Ham+United

and i presume some of you guys forget that this is just the feelings of Oz, not a news item.. More like a nightmare of Oz’s!! Isnt this the whole idea of Blogs? for people to share their visions?

i think kia would be great. if kia had bought the club i am sure we would still have tevez at west ham the same as mascherano, we would also have a world class manager and new stadium would have started to be develop. no one liked the glazers when they bought man.utd, but you look at them now couple of years ago it was about arsenal and chelsea now man utd.are once again the big guns in the premiership i think if kia were to buy out the club we should as fans back him and see the club grow

We are a club who are building for the future, there’s no reason to squander money. Bg is going nowhere, and I for one would not want Joorbachian in charge ofn our club.
June 12th, 2008 at 7:27 PM
so does anyone know any news about our new stadium or has it been put on hold because of the gas storage tanks nearby to the supposed parcel force site. it would be nice to be kept up to date. i’m sure everyone is starting to wonder if it was an empty promise of our progression to get fans onside.

Hackneyboys: the date of the two items (my original post appears to have mysteriously disappeared) shows that the KUMB.com story was published 24 hours earlier than the one you have linked to. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make?Back to the topic in question; I guess it must be a quiet day in the world of West Ham.

Well i know i hated this man over the carlos thing, and i did say it the words i used was this man is the devil. Now alot has happend from then and nothing has happend with the team the second half of the season we dident move 10 for the whole second half. And Curbs done his best with the injury list we had and the players were dreadful, but as it stands no one wants to play for [us or is it Curbs] Well all in all i think it would be Good so long as west ham can buy the player or players and evrrything is done legal. We are going nowhere, Kia go for it

I wouldn’t put it past BG, I think he is struggling more than we think. I hope it doesn’t happen, but it couldn’t happen, could it?
