Arsenal Emulation - About time Too!!
Ok so everybody that knows about football knows that we at West Ham have a serious bad habit!
No its not buying over-aged crocks from Newcastle and Arsenal, Our very serious bad habit i
s selling our Academy and Youth players to the likes of Spurs and Man Utd.
Well my friends, a new era is born, and from what we believe to be true is, NO MORE will we sell what will be the future of West Ham and dare i say England too.
Freddie Sears, top agents in the football world praise him as the man who will 1 day win the World Cup for England, James Tomkins, Jack Collison, Holmar Orn Eyjolfsson, Balint Bajner and Marek Stech are all praised as the future for West Ham to be leaders in the English Premier League as well as Europe.
Arsenal are always slagged of for the amount of foreign players that play every Saturday, the truth is, they are what every club needs to look at for guidance when it comes to nurturing young talent.
I know this post is going to get slated by Hammer and Arsenal fans for 2 reasons, 1 is for believing West Ham can do better than what we are doing and the 2nd is for praising Arsenal.
Like i give a SH*T.

Good you don’t give a sh*t.
On a completely different note; I’d be completely happy if West Ham were better than Chavs and consistantly better than those c*nts the Spuds.
Obviously not better than Arsenal coz I’m a gooner!

sorry franny but it’s looking very likely the gooners will drop a place or 2 on last year. guess arsene whinger can’t find decent kids as fast as they leave.

As a gooner I’d just like to say that everyone said exactly the same about us last year and we very nearly won the league.
That said I do think that it would have been one hell of a team if you could have kept hold of your academy graduates and I would love to win the world cup again even if the star players came from West Ham!!
The only problem I can see is that if you do keep your players until they start to play on a world class level potentially exactly the same will happen to you as happens to us.
The biggest teams in Europe will be able to offer or at least promise them massive salaries, domestic and European trophies and global fame.
It is very difficult to fight against the pull of clubs with such massive footballing heritages.
When they come calling you might find that even though you have a great squad playing winning football you may never quite make due to the constant poaching of your very best match winning players and destabalising of all the others.
The only thing I’m not sure of is if they would go for English players in the same way as they do our foreign ones so that could be your saving grace.
Good luck though…

Marleen, since when are Lehmann, Gilberto and Hleb “kids”? And how do you know Ramsey, Nasri and Vela are not decent? Have you ever seen them play? I’ll bet you they’ll come good sooner rather than later.
The blogger is right. Arsenal are the ones to emulate for nurturing young talent. And Arsenal will certainly win one or more trophy this season. Count on it.

Disagree with you Antoine, it’s our youths that will go forward this year and beyond. Granted that in the past we had to let players go that have gone on to greater things, but that’s changing whether people like it or not. So all get use to it and for crying out loud cut out the negativity some of us.
