The Italian media have said that The Roma defender Matteo Ferrari is waiting for a respectable offer from West Ham so that he may join up with the Hammers if and when Lucas Neill decides to join Galatasary with long time friend Harry Kewell.

It is beleived that West ham will be making a wage offer of around £1.9m a year or just under £40k a week.
