West Ham Captain Lucas Neill: Man City come and get Me!
According to the Australian News Media & a Well known British Sunday Rag, Man City are to make a bid of £1.6m after a plea from the Hammers captain Lucas Neill.
West Ham are looking at ways to cut the extreme wage bill down, and Lucas Neill is one of the high wage earners with earnings of around £55k a week.
It is beleived that Curbishley is trying to comprimise with Lucas over a new wage agreement but with offers coming from clubs such as Galatasaray & Man City it may prove to be a mission just to keep Lucas at Upton Park.
Lucas Neill used to play under Mark Hughs at Blackburn and will have first hand knowledge of his old star player, so if the rumours turns out to be true, it could be Neill wearing a sky blue Man City kit instead of the Sky Blue Hammers away kit in the new season.

Not so long ago Neill was pledging his future to West Ham,now all of a sudden there has been two clubs interested in signing him.Is this a case of the player wanting to leave us,or his agent putting him about?Let’s face it,he was crap last season, and if the rumours of us signing Behrami are true then he won’t be missed.

God please let be true!
The weakest link, over rated, over paid and close to over the hill. Always questioned his reasons for joining us and always felt was a short term buy.
Not really bothered bout him going. West ham buying and bringing through lots of good young players. Think the Freddie Sears generation team going to be one of lots of promise.

Its all lies & speculation about City wanting him, he wont improve us & why would we want him when hes already on 55 aweek & at his age, City have been keeping tabs on Behrami & alot of other players so just be patient, this has been is not going to wear any City shirt atall, totally confident in that.

unfortunately this is not true, he has a year left on his contract at 3million a year, i am sure Curbs has offered to extend that to three years total 6 million and he does not want to take the pay cut. His agent then makes up a load of crap about other teams wanting him, if thats the case then let him go, we would effectively be 4.5million better of if he is sold for 1.5m. As we have cover this could be put to better use, see ya Lucas you money grabber. Please note I live in Australia now, moved here last year, the whole of Brisbane A League soccer team combined earn less a month than Lucas Neils monthly paycheck, puts some perspective to it,
whats more worrying is that there is not even a sniff of rumour about Mullins, Quassi, Boa Morte, Cole attracting even a hint of interest. I thought Stoke would of been a little more helpful by taking this crap of our hands but then who is going to pay 25K a week wages for Quassi ???? or 40K a week for Boa Morte.
Still think there is time for a few signings, hopfeully Adriano, wasn’t he close to signing last year?
