West Ham Players Flight of Hell

The trip to the USA & Canada is going to be a flight of hell for the West Ham squad when they travel to Ohio (Columbus Crew) & then on to Canada (MLS All-Stars).

The sqaud is to be flown economy class after the company that the MLS Bosses chose to transport the West Ham players went bust.

Tomorrow half the squad will fly to Chicago on a scheduled flight and the rest of the squad will fly out a few hours later, then they will have a 9 hour wait to catch a flight from Chicago to Columbus where they will be playing Columbus Crew on Thursday.

Its ironic that the sponsors of West Ham are XL Airways/Holidays so why cant our sponsors give the squad a private plane? and i may be wrong but its pretty certain that BG owns part of XL Airways.

It looks as though the supporting away fans will have to share seats with Bellamy and Ashton, and maybe some of them can give some advice to Curbs.

what a riduculous story, you do not really think players of 50k a week are going to fly economy do you. what may of been a better story is to list the squad going so we could see who was omitted.
As it appears we are strapped for cash, not suprising given what our owner does or a living in todays climate and new signings of any importance/recognition seem unlikely it will be interesting to see who goes to raise cashflow.
On a seprate point, there was a great fan fare around Nani recruitment yet I have yet to read anything that suggests he is earning his wack. Similarly what deal is Jooracha on, I thought the idea was a hush money payment in return for new players from S America at extortinate agency fees.
My guese is that BG paid of Joora and Brown, realised he couldn’t raise money on margin trading his investments and is now saving what he can to pay of a settlement with Sheffield UTD. It is not about reducing the wage bill, Zamora and Pantisll must of been amongst the lowest earners, it has to be more to do with raising cash, but for what i wonder????

We’ve signed 3 16/17 year olds in the last couple of weeks and have been linked with a couple more. Nani is doing his job and that is to bring in young foreign talent to compliment the local kids Tony Carr has been churning out of The Academy for decades.
