Zamora,Pantsil: Fulham talks
It has been confirmed by West Ham that Fulham have made an approach for Zamora and Pantsil. The pai
r have been given permission to have talks with the club.
I’m not one for speculating, but if Zamora is to be allowed to go, this leaves us with Ashton and Bellamy in the frontline, with Cole and Sears on the bench. My point is, that should he go, does this mean the hammers have a striker lined up to replace him.
Regarding Pantsil, this could be another one who they just want to move on, but not sure about what else could be behind this. All I know is that if we let Zamora go, surely it’s with a replacemnt in mind. Because, and I mean no disrespect to Cole, he is not exactly goal scoring back up. Zamora is also a grafter on the pitch as is Cole, but both are not prolific up front. Young Freddy Sears will make more appearances, but is still getting use to the top flight.
So with the high chance of Zamora moving on, and Pantsil also, where does that leave us, especially in the striking department. We can’t just have the two main scorers in Ashton and Bellamy, we need solid back up.

Have to agree with you there, Ashton and Bellamy are obviousley a top partnership but Carlton Cole is not good enough to push them and Sears is still finding his feet. Also a major point we must see is the fact that this season each team is permitted to 7 Subs so 4 strikers in the squad will not be enough as we will look to put two on the bench (using all 4 in 18man party) so we would need one more srtiker in case of injuries. More than meets the eye in this deal for certain maybe Eidur Gudjohnsen is on his way to us or a loan signing in the shape of Edison Caveni. Thanks Bobby Zamora for being such a good servant to us specially in own relagation year without your goals we would be playing championship football, and thanks John Pantsil, whenever Curbishley has called upon you, you have put your shift in and played well.
Zamora and Pantsil are Championship players at best. We all love them, but if we are to push on into Europe, we need top class players who score week in and week out. Pantsil and Solano going leaves us short of players who can cover right back, although I suppose Spector is still there. We have too many average players, and if we can raise funds by getting rid of Pantsil and Bobby, then so be it.
Not too sure about Gudjohnsen. He is a good player, but more creative than goalscorer in my opinion. There are not many players about at the moment, especially when clubs know you have a little bot of money. Next few weeks will be interesting
I think he should go and to be honest, i couldnt think of a better team for him to go to, he may prove us all wrong and be a star again as he was with us only 18 months ago when linked up with Tevez..
Good luck to him, it may be what he needs.
