A right Mess

Watching the game against Man city today, what went through my head about West hams performance was that they were useless,gutless and a total joke.

There’s no excuse saying it’s because we were ten men down when Noble went off, because we were rubbish from the start. And no excuses for injuries either, because we had enough out there today to at least play better, even if we still lost.

In saying this, it’s evident that we need players brought in, in the form of a forward and at the very least a creative midfielder to make the difference. But even then will this be enough with Curbs in charge.

Before anyone says I’m one of the Curbs out gang, I just want to say that I’ve supported him in the past, even after the dull football we played last season. But after watching us in the second half of the Wigan game and at Man city , it seemed eerily like the style of football the hammers played last season. And even though I am willing to give Curbs a chance, even after the dull games last season, I don’t want to see that style of football at our beloved club again.

Yes we need BG to open his wallet and strengthen the squad, but even so, there is no excuse for these type of performances. Because if Curbishley doesn’t give this squad a kick up the backside, and this continues regardless of new players coming in or not…those doors at West Ham will be opening and shutting at the club, with whispers in the corridors of his head on the block.

Today was dreadful.

    Dave, that was the understatement of the year.  That performance was totally unacceptable, where was the effort, team spirit.  Behrami can’t play full back, why are we offering Lucas Neil another contract, Faubert, blimey, glad he was injured last season.  Noble, what was he playing at.  Where was the work rate from Etherington.  It was an utter disgrace.  I’m dreading Wednesday.

    Give curbs a chance,dont make me laugh. useless,the man is as stale as a month old piece of bread.Just because he was a footballer doesn’t mean he can manage,look at bryan robson.Either get Billic or Brooking ,brains passion and charisma all what Curbishley doesn’t own.The whole team is unfit and lacks leadership,would you want to play for that man,no wonder Ashley Young went to Villa,at least O’neill has passion and life about him,he goes for games.Im ashamed of that team,even Noble looks poor and he would die for the club,worst manager in the league.

    Guys, I haven’t seen such a poor performance for years … even the dire times two years ago weren’t as bad as today. I watched most of the pre season games and we were the worst I’ve seen them, How Peterborough never beat us I don’t know.The players fitness and performance tell the story for me … the sooner they can get away the better … with no money to buy in, and the likes of Shorey going to Villa for peanuts shows we have done nothing in the market all summer. The Lundburg fiasco is another typical boardroom debacle … and Berahami … ohh my word … we basically swapped Zamora for this tube … and then give Lundberg six million quid to leave …. what is going on …I have watched in admiration as Martin O’Niel has assembled a quality side … and even Stoke and Hull look better than us … with the likes of Boro, Bolton, Fulham, Totenham and Newcastle all strengthening during the summer, I’m sorry to say it will be a bigger miracle if we stay up this year …Finally the dire state of our play just so disheartens me … Ashton and Cole has never, and will never work, which just conpounds the sale of Zamora … when Mullins has come on he has made Parker look a total carthorse for pace, no wonder the midfield get over run .. and out interchange play with our wingers … well as Faubert said last season … they never do any technical play in training … that said it all … Curbs, your a good lad … but only at a lesser club … not this one, time to go please

    A disgrace! Nobel……two poor performances, first yellow stupid and naive, second one rash and brainless…..Have to say tactically we were F-ed after that happened…Having brought on Sears for Cole, had no choice but to make further changes. I have said it before I will say it again - whether we play Lucas Neil on the left or Right teams have figured out he is slow and they exploit the area (ireland had a field day!)- we need McCartney back soon and we need Bellamy to give us something other than tryin to feed Ashton from deep….Lets face it Dean is a wonderful goal scorer, he is not good at holding the ball up at all. Gotta give Mullins a ride (no choice now anyway) he looks more composed in the area than the others….Feelin very low tonight - It is looking like a long season already, sorry to rant, just dissappointed!

    Has anyone any idea why we are selling Anton? When fit he is better than Davenport, Collins and Gabbidon. Tompkins is young so we will have to wait and see. I cannot believe that he is going to Sunderland, but at least they are investing money in the squad. We were poor yesterday but not helped by Noble. This is not the first time that he has dived in and he could have got a straight red. I was optimistic for this season but that has gone completely. Too many underperforming players. Is it Curbishley or the board? I really do not know but something needs to be done soon. It is clear that Magnusson done the club a load of damage with bad buys and high wagers but we did stay up. At the moment it is no better than when Terence Brown was in control. Like him or hate him, we was a West Ham fan. The sooner this Sheff Utd thing is finally out of the way then we can move on. Hopefully with Curbishley but if not then we must have a tried and tested manager. Not Bilic please…………

    Trevor, Ferdinand’s contract runs out at the end of the season and he has refused to sign a new one trebling his wages … so to be honest, 8 million is a quality deal. The trouble is tho, is that money for the likes of Bresciano, Cavani and Pinto … three players we need despearately, cos at the moment the team picks itself and some are in shocking condition … Parker and Neil are like has beens …and for the second week runnnig Peparahmi has been played off the park.

    I guess its already been said above but bloody hell was I embarrassed to watch that load of crap yesterday.Plus it was on Sky so broadcast all over rather than the 15 seconds we usually get on match of the day !
    Things that stood out for me were;
    1. Neil - His lack of pace was embarassingly obvious, nuff said. We are gonna get done by any half decent winger with an ounce of pace.2. Ashton - Again, a lack of pace, lack of control and I thought a general lack of mobility, he looked injured…..3. Noble - Ive always had time for him but that first yellow was stupid, the second was rash.4. Any of the rest - not good enough !
