Biggest laugh of the Day!
I had to write this post, to share with you what i found to be one the most hilarious articles i have read today.
The article was written by Tom Williams at Eurosport, it states about Dean Ashton and Anton Ferdinand the following:
West Ham have vowed to turn down a quite clearly invented £18m bid for Dean Ashton from Spurs .
The Ashton rumour prompted Hammers chief executive Scott Duxbury to completely lose all sense of perspective by claiming
“Hell would have to freeze over for us to sell Dean to a major rival”,
overlooking the fact that West Ham’s major rivals this season are likely to be West Brom, Hull and Stoke.
We close with a quote from Anton Ferdinand, rejecting transfer speculation linking him with a move away from West Ham:
“I’m sure if you asked the fans about me when they see me playing, I don’t look like I’m thinking about other things, other than playing for West Ham.”
Having watched a fair few Hammers matches last season, TT would actually argue that playing for West Ham is often quite literally the last thing that appears to be on Ferdinand’s mind.
Ok, so the guy probably supports Spurs and it must hurt when Juande Ramos is searching high and low for another striker good enough to fill Robbie Keane’s boots, but is getting turned down left, right and centre.
This morning it was reported that Spartak Moscow striker Roman Pavlyuchenko would only consider a move to Arsenal or Chelsea if he came to London, and now Atletico’s Diego Forlan has said no, but more politely.
I will be interested in reading his articles in June 2009 when Tottenham finish in 7th place just behind us Hammers again.

Wet myself laughing: overlooking the fact that West Ham’s major rivals this season are likely to be West Brom, Hull and Stoke damn right they will be…..Curbs reckons they’ll be pushing for top 6 finish I think not, bottom 6 is more realistic!! This made me laugh too: http://www.westhamblog.co.uk/2008/08/dyer-injured-ag.html paste the link, Dyer injured again as we have depth of qulaity in the squad we’ll be fine, we got Cole and LBM two top class players!!! Bottom 6 here we come!!

its bad news, i just heard on talksport confirming the story, we need to do something ASAP. we cant blame Curbs, but if he uses the injury excuse again next season, i like yu GJF want him gone, and i think al lot of people would agree with that.

Personally think the Ashton to Spurs news is a pile of dung and I won’t be losing any sleep over this rumour.

Those Spuds are an absolute joke. Just because they get suckered into paying 17m for trash (Bent ) they think big money paid out = success. They are so desperate to get into Champions League but sorry Spuds, it won’t happen this season or the next 10.

ha ha this post is hilarious west ham to finish 6th just behind spurs errrm no . first of all u need to finish above west brom hull and stoke which u will struggle to do, then if u manage that teams like villa everton portsmouth and man city will finish above u easily. west ham will always be a feeder club for spurs. spurs continue to show ambition while west ham will settle just to finish above spurs just goes to show how sad west ham fans are.

more tosh from the know nothings, everyone knows west brom won’t finish in the bottom 3. oh and ashton wouldn’t sign a new deal then go. oh and spurs will now try to turn into a defensive side with no fire power. oh and they’ll fail. oh again. oh.

Spurfect you sound like a repetitive parrot, with your feeder club talk, try to be more original or as usual is that too much to ask of a numpty like you. Looks like your clubs been feeding alot lately, i.e Keane, bitter pill to swallow isn’t it.

Lets cap the bile - all this ‘feeder club’ and ‘keane’ stuff. So what. The fact is Spurs have been making a very significant investment in their squad this close season, as they did last season. Frankly I’d love to know where they get their money from. Spurs have spent a lot of money and got a bottom half finish last time out (plus the league cup win over chelsea). Spurs will really have to perform this season or something will have to give over there - they can’t keep investing tens of millions with no real return. So the pressure is on Ramos this season (really unproved in the prem). Personally I think Spurs will do well this season - top 6 finish is realistsic. Top 4 - can’t see it at all. Who are they going to knock out of the champs league placings? Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool? No way. Arsenal - I don’t think so either.
As for West Ham - another average mid table finish for us unless we can surprise everybody with a couple of decent (fit) signings before the end of august. Unrealistic to insist that west brom, stoke and hull etc. are our rivals. Of course spurs are major rivals for west ham (and vice versa: would spurs fans be happy to get clumped by the hammers? think not). Both clubs finished mid table last seaon and are located within a handful of miles of each other (all london clubs are rivals - why pretend anything else).
I just hope whu can sort out the injury situation.

We have one problem and one problem only. All the bookmakers in the country agree with it as well.
Curbishly and Eggart, the latter already gone the former to be gone by the autumn. I’m not goingto get dragged into this Spurs argument, let’s just see at the end of the season. Football is competitive NOT personal.
