Prepare to be Shocked!
Lucas Neill is warning other Premier League clubs that West Ham are out to cause a few shocks this season.
Neill also said
“We want West Ham fans cheering and making noises for the right reasons.
In this day and age, a lot of money is being spent in a lot of clubs and people want success and they want it quickly.
However you’ve just got to step back sometimes and realise that these things do not happen overnight. It’s a work in progress.”
said Neill
“People must understand that we have rich owners who have come in and want to raise the bar and the level of West Ham,”
“Everyone’s bought into it and if you don’t quite measure up you’re obviously under pressure”.
“Officially I’m on my last year of my contract. I’ve had preliminary talks (about extension) and there’s been interest from elsewhere. But, look, I am captain of West Ham and very proud of that and I don’t see it being any different this season.”
Lucas is on international duty for the Socceroos tonight at Loftus Road playing against the south Africans.
we caused a few shocks in 2006 but that did not stop us from nearly being relegated, it is not shocks that we need to rely on, it is quality and skilful players who will walk on the pitch with only one aim, to win.

This is bollocks, the entire article is based around the fact he was offered less money to extend his contract, whats his doing is saying, look everyone, I am a real positive guy and lots of people are interested in me, if you are, make an offer as I am reviewing my future.I am totally gutted by the lack of both transfer activity and Board explination as to why. Now we have the captain coming out with excuses and promising to suprise everyone, only suprise for me will be Neil accepting a lower pay deal to help teh club through these difficult times., Like that would happen

I agree with Aussihammer, its a publicity stunt for him programmed by his agent, and i agree with James about shocks, shocks are for FA Cup non league teams beating the likes of Man Utd, surley we are better than that.

Everybody is disapointed about the lack of signings. I don’t care who you are or where your from, if your a true fan of course you would be disapointed, you want your team to do well. When you see other teams like the spuds buying quality and we’re not it gets frustrating. In my opinion mid table is the best we can hope for this season, we have kept too many wasters in the team for my liking. As far as Neil is concerned i agree with Aussie Hammer, Lucas is just playing the game trying to up his wage or attract other clubs. I’ve always thought he is a bit of a cart horse anyway so i’m not that bothered either way.
Why have we still got LBM AND CC thats what i want to know?!
