Generally you don't hear from the officail website on any speculation. What is posted there tends to be solid info so I'm inclined to believe it. It's extremely worrying, however, that they hung Curbs out to dry with Anton Ferdinand. At the least there seems to be a problem with communication. At worst the club's management are on the verge of a serious falling out with each other.

As I understand it (admittedly from newspaper reports) Ferdinand turned down an offer to double his wages. A bit better than a 'slight pay rise' wouldn't you think? If he wants out badly enough to go and live in Sunderland (Sunderland FFS!) there's not much you can do about that.

So, I see no confusion here. Like Duxbury says 'if he refuses to sign a new contract........' They got decent money for a player that didn't want to be here, well done to Duxbury and all involved, and good riddance to Ferdinand I reckon.

Anton was part of Curbishley's plans, but i think he must have wanted his wages in line with Neill, so maybe they had no choice but to sell him, but you are right john, it is getting harder to understand who is control of the players.
