A tangled web weaved

Ambition? What’s that about hey. Just more lies coming out of our great club, and from a stingy owner who has no ambition for our club, just in it for the money.

I’m sick and tired of our great club being abused like this, when we have such a great history. Yet we hear of other clubs in this credit crunch doing deals like a card dealer in Las Vegas.

Let’s be honest, our club don’t stand a chance with owners like this; And I persoanlly wanted us to progress…don’t get me wrong, I didn’t want us to be like Man Utd, or chelsea, with their bully tactics. But I atleast wanted to have ambition aswell as money to spend- not a tight owner and liar who is no better than Terence Brown.

We were promised much, and now we are owned by a fruit machine…much going into the money machine, and little coming back.

This is just getting blown out of all proportion. I didn’t particularly want Anton to go but it was a good price and he isn’t that good a player (certainly not good enough to refuse the fee we got for him). Now Linda has been sold because he wanted a transfer for family reasons because his missus can’t settle in London. Fair enough, you can’t force him to stay in those circumstances. Appiah could still come because he’s a free agent so what’s all the fuss about. Curbs kept us up, we finished 10th last season and are currently 5th. What more can the bloke do?

  • I think there are two main reasons for the lack of ambition/money. One is the departure of Eggs, who I presume was the enthusiastic driving force behind much that the owners were doing. The other is the world financial situation that bankers, but not sheiks have to take into account when doing something.

I just hope Curbs does not get any more stick for the boards failures. He has done well with what he has been given and his hands have been tied over the sales of our players. The board need to step up to the challenge or get out so our great club can progress into europe.

  • The fuss is wingman is that we are lacking at the back, and what happens if Bellamy or Ashton get Injured up front. Do we rely on Cole to bang the goals in, or the experience of Young Freddy Sears to do the honours.
