ALAN CURBISHLEY LEAVES WEST HAM - LIVE CHAT-
UPDATE
Curbishley has resigned from West Ham. Why would he do this? constant criticism from fans and players, he has constantly stood his ground and said he will carry on to make the club a success, but after the end of the summer transfer window and the fact he had no control over his team, he decided to call it a day.

No Room at West Ham for Traitors
Most West Ham fans could never ever think of betraying the club we love and be jealous of any other club.
Man City, New owners with money coming from bottomless pockets, buying players at incredible amounts of money and with promises from their owners there is more big signings to come, now stop and think! you cant buy success, it has to be earned by hard work and players who wear the badge with pride and not thinking of the pay cheque for £150,000 at the end of the month.
Many West Ham fans showing anger and jealousy that we did not do the same as Man City some even going to the extent of saying they are losing their love for the club, a football club is a business and any business that has suffered as much as West Ham have needs to be run with strict rules and management.
Myself and i dare say thousands of other Hammers fans could never even think about losing our feelings for West Ham, the true fans would be tested to the limit with anger and frustration but still bleed claret and blue, our children and our children’s children will carry on where we leave off and will still show the same passion for a club that never fails to disappoint and makes grown men cry.
My son in law is a Liverpool fan, but are his children Liverpool fans? the answer is quite obvious, they are West Ham fans with passion.
Don’t be jealous of Man City, Chelsea or these clubs, look at Real Madrid and how much they spent and ask, ” When did they last win some silverware?”
Be proud to be a Hammers supporter through thick and thin and if your not then support another club because there is no room here at West Ham for you!

i totally agree. i no 80% of fans did not want curbs in the job anymore, but look at the facts; save us from relegation (also doing the double over man utd!!!), the next season got us to a safe position of 10th with a injury ridden squad. the start of this season gets us at 5th place with our best start in 9yrs. he left the club because the board are too scared to throw the dosh. but i bet you all the money the board has that at least half the “supporters” who were booing curbs in the game against macclesfield will now change their minds and want him back. those “fans” my friends are the real traitors. look at yourself in the mirror and clearly say outloud “curbs was a bad manager”. that is true traitor. for me the only man to take the job now is SLAVEN BILIC.

Curbs is history and I think this is the best possible news at the moment, at least in the longer run.Don’t get me wrong, even though I never was a fan of Curbishley, I don’t think his time at the club was a bad one – result wise, that is.But this is the first sign of a brighter future I’ve seen in a long time.If this was a sign of ambition I would be ecstatic – but unfortunately it isn’t.The official site states that the club is now drawing up a shortlist of candidates. I sincerely hope that that is not the case. A proactive board must have seen this coming a mile away, (every internet-active West-Ham supporter have been talking about this for some time now) and prepared for this!Again, this is not a sign of reborn club ambition – so how can it be good news? The board now has no choice (?) but to try to attract a decent new manager and for that to be successful he (I presume it will be a male…) must be presented with the war chest that I spoke about in a previous post and that means activity in the transfer market! On the short term we might end up with a Roederesqe solution, with Day or Keene at the helm, but so be it. But here the Roeder-like situation must end! What must not happen is that such a solution is made permanent and a stand-in manager is set to manage the decline of the club. So, if the club after some days of “mourning” presents a new manager from the outside with a decent track record, we know that this was a plot set up by the board. If the club announces a internal solution, witch I suspect, let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good news in December!

Good article. Although I wouldn’t want our club to be like those throwing money around at every turn, I would like a owner with money to buy some players when needed. Even if we were taken over bya Arab group with tons of money, I wouldn’t want that type of money thrown around at how club. But a fair amount wouldn’t hurt, as long as it isn’t over the top.

Joppe - With respect mate but WTF are you talking about, “this is the first sign of a brighter future I’ve seen in a long time” - fans were saying this when we were taken over and again when Curbs was put in charge, for gods sake what is wrong with you people. We need consistency and a settled squad not a board undermining a manager that is doing his best with the fit players he has….You guys make me sick as a West Ham fan to be honest, you stand in the stadium chanting for him to leave, when he is the only manager in the last four or five years to move the club forwards… are you fkn retarded….I’ve been a Hammer ofr over 35 years and have lived through the Lou Macari’s, the Glenn Roeders…this was the last thing we needed after a good start to the season with lets face it some easy games coming up - this could unsettle the players and lead to a poor season now……
