Keen: Spoilt For Choice!

Kevin Keen

Kevin Keen is spoilt for choice and will have 23 players to choose from on Saturday when he takes on WBA at the Hawthorns.

Alan Curbishley’s only dream was to have a fully fit squad but Keen is the man to fulfill that dream.

Just six players remain unavailable for selection with three of them - James Collins, James Tomkins and Jack Collison - close to first-team comebacks.

Craig Bellamy is 100% fit now and will more than likely feature in this Saturdays game.

Zola, is to take over the squad on Monday and lets hope from then on we may see a dazzling new kind of West Ham team playing quality fast moving football.

My team to start, Green, Berahmi, Davenport, Upson, lopez, etherington, noble, parker, faubert, bellamy and ashton. bench- Sears, Michelle (bad spelling but new striker), Neil, marek and bowyer.no place for me for LBM, Mullins and Cole i am afraid and when others fit (Dyer, Tomkins. Collins and Collinson they would move further down the order) we have to start bringing on some of the youth.

Mike, what is your opinion on Zola becoming our next manager? Excited? Apprehensive? Concerned? I am hearing so many West Ham fans with negative comments and cannot understand why there is so much negativity before the guy has even landed back in England. What makes me laugh is, the same people were calling Curb’s head when we were playing boring, 5 in midfield football at home and are now casting doubt over Zola and whether he is up for the job.Personally, I think this is a real coup and shows a lot of people that the board are moving us in the right direction and that BG is here for the long term and stabilising what was a very rocky ship. I just don’t understand the constant doubters and pessimists that are just never happy.

just another thought, lopez signed as a free agent but only on a 1 year contract which seems a little strange for a 22 year old, has this got the Joorachabin markings behind it, perhaps this is payback for his sllence. I cant see why he would sign for just one year, if he turns out really well he will attract interest again as a free agent, if he was free then why not sign him to four years ?? I don’t understand.
Also anyone heard or seen Appiah, if it really is a straight chloice between us and Arsenal I can’t see him joining unfortunately, perhaps Zola’s first job is to get him onboard, lets hope so.

I think other than Macini he was our best choice and hes Italian like myself. West Ham are world known for producing quality players from its Academy and Franco is the best at bringing the best from these youngsters, if anybody watched the Italy U21 game on Tuesday night you would have seen how much he puts into his team and how much his players adored him.We have him for 3 years and we all know if he is a success he will more than likely go to Chelsea and manage the team of his dreams and who can blame him.But 1 thing we need to do is give him our support and full backing, he is a West Ham man now and will be wearing our colours, so C’Mon Yu Irons!

Nah, you were right the first time!!! Tell you what though, I cant wait for that atmosphere against Newcastle. On a personal note, my brother who now lives in Hong Kong is coming back for the first time in 10 years and I have managed to get him the seat right in front of mine for the game! They have to be onto a hiding from us that day!
