McCartney to Sunderland, Ashton to Aston Villa
Here we go, the biggest rumours around are that 2 of or best players are going to move to teams less superior to us!
Aston Villa willing to offer £15m for Ashton… Hmmm sounds good to me but the guy has already signed a deal worth £13m with us, err excuse me his last name is Ashton not Benayoun, as for George McCartney he is a solid part of West Hams defence and we would hardly let this guy go.
Rumours Say:
Northern Ireland defender George McCartney is on the verge of leaving West
Ham and returning to his previous club Sunderland, BBC Sport understands.
McCartney was linked with a return to the Black Cats in July before signing
a new five-year deal with the Hammers. West Ham turned down a £4.5m offer in
early July but Sunderland have made a renewed bid of around £6m for the
Northern Ireland player. McCartney is having a medical at Sunderland on
Monday. The defender joined West Ham from Sunderland in a £1m deal in August
2006.
As for Ashton leaving the Hammer’s, sorry Villa try again next year, the guy is ours and he loves the fact he is our hero at the moment, why cant you make good of what we gave you last season?
End Of!
And as i said too guys last week, Appiah will be playing for West Ham after the International Break.

Aston villa “less superior to us”… firstly, great english!
Did West Ham finish top 5 last season? I didnt think so!
Are they more likely than Villa to win a cup this season? according to experts and bookies, no!
West Hams ambitions to break the top 4? Non existent!
Europe? Getting the message yet?

Have to disagree, thought McCartney was a decent player. Why we didn’t bloody go for Shorey when we had the chance I don’t know but this is a very strange sale. Who have we got now at left back? Boa feckin Morte?

Linda has gone, he’s signed, they sealed him and he’s been delivered! But IF Ashton signs for Villa, Curbs won’t have the chance to be sacked, cos I will kill him! Seriously, what the hell is going on??? We can’t keep selling our top players and buying SH1T!!!! I know it’s not totally Cubs fault! And I know the board are just as much to blame but enough is enough! BG if you are not prepared to buy in some decent players then sell the club to someone who is!!!! I hear there’s a certain ex Thai prime minister that’s looking to invest
;)

Nope didn’t think so keep dreaming. As for ashton I dont think he’ll come to villa until the january transfer window when you are in the bottom 3.

Villa supporters, we didn’t steal your colours.. there is a story you need to read because obviously you know nothing of your clubs history, unlike us Hammers fans who know everything.

Ahh all you poor brummies it must have touched a nerve, we are a bigger club then you, you bought two of our pit poies last year, Reo cker id the worst footballer i have ever seen, im a better player than him. the fact that you delusional claret and blue copies are leaving comments is testament that you believe your own bullshit.

its one thing to sell a decent player, its another to sell one who i’m pretty sure BG knows is a crowd favorite. how insulting can you get, he’s letting us know we don’t mean squat to him. forget appiah or larrson, if we don’t get the likes of villa or kaka to make up for this then i for one am gonna take a very long time to cool off no matter what our next result is.

I am so depressed that I can’t eat and my kids picked up on that and refused to eat too and that pissed my wife off, so now I’m right in the doghouse. Let’s get one thing straight I do not believe for one minute that AC sanctioned the sale of GM to Sunderland. I have been saying for a while that whilst AC’s responsibility is the performance of the players, he needs to be given the resources with which to seek to continually improve and BG has hardly done that, we have sold more than we have bought, the players we want to get rid off we can’t, the ones we should be keeping and building on we aren’t and we have a chairman who is conspicuous by his absence. I honestly believe we are in real danger of the drop with what we currently have; Bellamy will not go through the whole season uninjured, nor will Ashton and Dyer when he comes back. We now have no left back at all and NO Boa Morte cannot play there. No ambition is being shown by our pathetic board, we have been sold a 5 year lie, a nightmare not a dream and if I was AC I would walk whilst I can hold my head up high and not be tainted by the lies Duxbury spouts every time he opens his mouth. 2hrs 30 mins to go and I still don’t hear any signatures being penned. If there is nothing the only thing we can do is hit them where it hurts, in their wallet and do everything to force a change of regime, one that will do what the new regime at Man City has promised today, to give whatever resource is necessary to reach the top and stay there…wow now that is a statement of intent backed up by the subsequent bids. What do we hear coming out of Nani’s mouth….silence, what a waste of space. God help our club because those running it won’t.

West Ham are not superior to Villa even though we have signed a few of your reserves. As for our Midlands accent…. well we can’t help that can we? it was a very poor act of God
September 1st, 2008 at 9:37 PM
are we a newcastle misfit magnet???
September 1st, 2008 at 9:57 PM
Sorry mate - Villa are a level above us at the moment. They have a chairman who is right behind a class act of a manager at one of the biggest six clubs in the country. As much as I wish it were true we’re not.

mate…West Ham bigger than Villa… enjoy dreamland and your garden shed stadium.Cheers
