West Ham Sponsors should be queing up!

With so much Media attention each week and the fact at present we are a top 6 club, plus West Ham star in more movies than any other football league club so there should be a queue of sponsors just itching to have their company logo on the clubs shirts.

Maybe the PR people at Upton Park should get their finger out and reap the benefits of such media domination at the moment.

One more thing, why cant Landsbanki (Bank owned by BG & Son) sponsor us, or is it a breach of FA rules for a Owner to sponsor his own club?

    the reason BG’s bank can’t sponsor us is not legal, it is to do with the fact his bank are skint. This is the same reason we spent nothing in the transfer window. He was a billionaire but no longer- his net worth has dropped like a stone. As the global credit crunch has hit, all currencies have been affected as have all banks. One of the worst currencies has been BG’s own and the bank have loads of debt ridden investments in danger of going out of business - XL was one of his.
    he ain’t that rich anymore, simple as that.

    lets also face it, you don’t make money out of football and anyone wanting to invest and choosing football is stupid. BG has realised this so sponsoring will be good money after bad.

    What we need is a stupid oil baron who needs to launder about a billion dollars

    We’ll struggle to get another sponsor this season, whilst the world financial market is in so much turmoil. If the Americans bail out the finance sector over there and things begin to settle down by Christmas, we might get lucky and find someone, the other thing is, if we are doing OK by the Jan transfer window and don’t have to buy anymore players this may shore things up a bit. Also we have Quashie, Boa Morte and Bowyer who we could off load, Boa Morte clearly showed why he doesn’t play that much against Newcastle - no wonder the boo boys get on his case…..

    One would think most companies would love to come in as sponsors of our Club at this point since there is no shortage of media coverage.Now some players have understood the importance of keeping us in the public eye and taken steps of their own to ensure a good sponsor deal.The latest addition is the ‘24-year-old driver… taken to a central London police station and later bailed.’How could we sell Anton when we really need him?

    @JAKEUS

    Not many clubs are showing interest in Appiah because he wants a long term contract, the problem is he is injury prone.

    Spurs and Arsenal are looking for a temp player, Portsmouth cant afford him and West Ham are happy with what we have, and to be honest so am i despite Appiah being a great player.
