What have i taken on with West Ham?

Di Michel

What have I taken on with west Ham? Gianfranco Zola must have had those thoughts rushing through his mind at full time.

West Ham had a day they would want to forget, as they crumbled under the pressure of a team that is among the favourites for relegation.

WBA will not have to worry about relegation if they continue to play as they did today, there passing was fairly accurate with some great offensive play.

West Ham’s new manager Gianfranco Zola watched from the stands and sometimes looked astonished at the way West Ham and especially Cole and Boa Morte fumbling around the field.

James Morrison gave WBA the start they needed but West Ham pulled back 2 goals before the break, but only to let WBA equalise with was definitely not a penalty, and then the winner late on in the 83rd minute.

Zola, should be happy with Di Michel’s performance today, but he will have plenty to do as from Monday to start making West Ham good enough to even qualify for a UEFA spot.

Kevin Keen who managed the side for the match today should not be disappointed as he only had 1 week to work with the team.

There is still hope of West Ham landing Stephen Appiah who could make a lot of difference to a team looking rather disorientated, maybe from having to stitch those awful odd colour squares on the front of the teams shirts where the XL Logo’s used to reside.

Haven’t seen the game yet.  That pleasure awaits at 10:15 with match choice, unless they decide to make it game of the day on Sky sports, then I’ll have to watch all ninety minutes!!
Going off what’s been written on here we can hope that will be the last time we see LBM in a claret and blue shirt.  Seeing as GZ wants Steve Clarke to be the defensive coach, I hope that issue gets resolved soon as we have needed expertise in that area for…..just thinking how long…oh yes…since 1895.

Looking forward to seeing the new players.

It was Keens selection that lost us the game. Why play Cole for 90,why LBM, and where was Bellamy apart from being on the bench.Role on Monday and hopefully Steve Clarke aswell.
