Great News for The Hammers!
There is no getting away from the fact that apart from our position in the Premier League September and October 2008 will be months we will all want to forget.
Landsbanki Bank being taken over by the Icelandic Government in a bid to stop the economy spiralling into further turmoil, Sheffield United winning its arbitration hearing which could cost West Ham upto £30m.
The good news is that the CAS are willing to hold a hearing on the Tevez case originally only if Sheffield Utd agree and if they do not agree then the CAS will want specific reasons why not! in the mean time West Ham will audit the books of Sheffield Utd to find the exact validation of its loss in being relegated to the CCC
The other good news is that, the West Ham legal boffs are seeking possible permission from FIFA to take the case to the High Courts in a bid to reverse the decision of the FA arbitration panel with its findings that Tevez alone is the cause of Sheffield Utd’s relegation.

How do you know that CAS are willing to hear the case when they previously advised that they will only listen if both parties agree, and McCabe (unsurprisingly) has said there is no chance they would agree to another hearing?
Poor George cant read, try reading the article my little uneducated yorkshire friend
To date West Ham have been fined by the FA. Won the first hearing, then when Sheffield get a very dubious victory, McCabe wants to call it game over.
Big problem was Sheff and Wigan tried to contrive the result thinking Manchester would thrash West Ham. It back fired then the hypocritical McCabe tried to play the hard done by victim. There is so much more, including the Kabba affair, Liverpool fielding a reserve side against Fulham.
How come Sheffield United are claiming between £30 million and £50 million in damages flowing from relegation?Sheffield United made an operating profit of £2.6 million in the 2006-07 season (their last season in the Premier League) and an operating profit of £1.3 million in the 2007-08 season (their first season, post relegation, in the Championship). Source, the Sheffield United website.Hence the true measure of their loss is £1.3 million loss of profits.I’m sure West Ham would gladly pay that amount to get Sheffield to go away.
