Will He or Won’t He?

With Landsbanski collapsing, we have been reassured that us fans should not be worried, and that although others have took an interest in buying our club, it is not up for sale…or is it?

Of course the board are not going to come right out on sky and give the answers they want to hear. And even though a member of the board has stated that this will not affect West Ham, I beg to differ.

It has been stated that we have a large squad, and that some players will have to go in order to bring in others. That’s all fine on the surface, but what players would we have to sell in January in order to steady the ship?

Maybe I’m just imaging this, but listening to the interview on sky, I wasn’t convinced by the words of assurance. In my opinion it is only a matter of time before BG sells us, and especially with others interested, including the 6th richest man in the world, Anil Ambani, if these reports are to be believed.

Regardless of the words spoken of all is ok, at the end of the day, the question is, will BG sell up or not. Money talks

I have no doubt that BG will sell in the future, but only a fool would sell at the moment.

I dont think most West Ham fans realise the truth about what is called the fall of Landsbanki so I will summarise what the truth is.

Landsbanki did not collapse, the bank was running smooth and was still in safe hands with BG at the helm, the truth is that the Icelandic government passed a bill to take control of Landsbanki and another large bank in Iceland because the Icelandic economy was spiralling on a downward slope, where the Icelandic Krona had lost 60% of its value against the Euro.

BG is still a major shareholder of the bank and has many other assets besides Landsbanki, West Ham is only a small cog in his business life and its future is as secure as it ever was.

West Ham have gone through many a worse time than this and especially in the 30’s when the financial world crumbled to nothing.

    Fridgeirsson said this

“West Ham is protected by Mr Gudmundsson. He has considerable personal wealth in a number of sectors, such as construction and shipping, and most of these assets and investments are overseas.”

The media are having a frenzy feast at the moment spreading pathetic rumours and non factual hype to the financial uneducated public, the truth of the matter is we all should be worrying our own personal state of affairs, if you are a home-owner and you have credit payments up to your eyeballs, I would be more concerned about your future and your problems than those of West Ham, because believe me the same fate awaits Britain as has just happened to Iceland, if you have any savings in the bank, take it out and buy Gold, the price of gold will treble in the months to come.
