Gianfranco Zola has described Craig Bellamy’s performance at Anfield as ‘awesome’ and says he will get even better.
Bellamy went closest to making a breakthrough on Monday’s goalless draw at Liverpool when he rattled the post from 30-yards and Zola says he will get better and better as his fitness improves.

“Craig Bellamy had an awesome performance and he was unlucky not to get a goal,” said Zola.

“I like him because he’s a threat going forward and he helps the midfield run and chase everybody.

“I think he had something to prove against Liverpool but he does it all the time and as his conditioning gets better he’s going to be even more effective.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him against Tottenham.”
