Club website – a marked improvement?

I used to bemoan the PR machine under the dark days of the Egg and the managerial tenures of Pards (towards the end) and Curbs. The website appeared to be little more than an extension of the club’s commercial operations and informed us little.
Has anyone else noticed the change?
We are now treated to regular and plentiful updates about up and coming academy prospects and even this week, we are now privvy to formerly closely guarded secrets in respect of injuries to key players.
Jeez – two big ups for the corridors of power in a week! They’ll accuse me of being a sycophant next…….

  • Its very obvious Headmaster you are desperately trying to brown nose your way into getting some free tickets from the club.

I have noticed a great change in the club website, its just a shame it isnt more like Arsenals or Man Utd’s, and it would be good if West Ham had their own TV channel on Sky too.

    On a similar note!
As a fan since 1974 I still think the ECWC run and subsequent defeat in Extra Time is still the clubs greatest achievement, Im sure anyone els my age will remember the same, from the quarter final on, 4 nil down at half time in Den Hagg, Paddons goal in Frankfurt, The home leg of that semi-final, and then the fantastic final in Belgium.

    WELL WHERE’S THE DVD !!!!!

Iv tried to get through to someone at the club for years but no joy, Does anyone have the video ?

I think you are right about the editorial content improving but to say the website is improved is a stretch.

The website is a standard one taken from a company that makes it’s money from advertising. So where do you think their priorities lie? Certainly not with the fans or the club.

The editorial has improved but overall the site is miles from being decent and will continue to be mediocre whilst it is a one size fit’s all site.

As far as TV channels go – why have one on Sky when you can have one online for a fraction of the cost?
