Is it all over with?

Just a quicky post from me today. I was reading in this mornings media that West Ham have settled out of court with Sheff U over the Tevez saga.

It seems that we will be paying them around £10m in compensation, to be paid over a 5 year period, i am not sure if this is true but if it is then it is terrific news and thank God its all over.

£45m was the original claim by sheff u which they summed up to be the amount they have lost over 2 seasons being in the Fizzy Pop League.

Lets be honest, West Ham and its fans will be glad to see the back of this saga and get on with what Football is all about, as for Sheff U, was it worth 2 years of trouble and hypocrisy for £10m, best ask their fans that.

BG should now be able to sell the club and i wouldnt be surprised if it happens in the next few weeks.

If this is true I wonder, after two years of top level legal costs what their profit would be? Maybe this is just an agreement to pay their legal fees.

10 mill over 5 years, after all those threats from sheff utd and all the crap we have read by their fans, so it looks like ten pence on a pint of beer for 5 years at the clubs bars then, that should pay for it.And DONT forget that Charlton (currently heading to league one.. snigger)Wigan, Fulham and Middlesborough all backed sheff utd and said they would see it through to the end, well its ended but dont you lot worry we wont forget…….

I still resent giving the Northern hypocrites a penny. I hope they choke on it.

Then again, most of them have lived on the hand-outs of Southerners for generations.

The Blunts officially top the list of my most despised clubs……..even more than the Spuds!

A sad day for football, and a dangerous president set.

Roynaldo. thats the only negative from this debacle. if one club is allowed to sue another where will it end? i thought that if you signed up to the premier league, then you had to abide by their rules ! one of them being you couldnt sue another club. Therefore a precident has benn set. still it aint the 60 mill the northern monkeys wanted. Slags

10 million in today’s world of football is a drop in the ocean.
I do share the resentment of all of the angst caused, not to mention paying the bleeders a cent. However, compared to the outrageous claims they initially made and the potential impact on our club, this feels like a victory to me.
