Double trouble;

The defeat today leaves us still sitting in 7th position, courtesy of the Arse’s demolition of Wigan but the run of form Spurs are on, in combination with our missing players and our up and coming fixtures leaves me fearful for our European aspirations.
I went today and thought we did ok. Bottom line though is that a team like ours cannot do without its Coles, Berhamis, Collisons, Parkers and realistically hope to finish top 7. Di Michele and Tristan tried hard but just don’t have enough left in the locker. Neil likewise cannot be faulted for effort but he is not what we really need in midfield.
We are desperate for Scott’s return for the Villa game in my view.

    Fair comment, but how many teams in the league can sell (or loan out) 5 players mid season, and live without their main 2 strikers, 3 of 4 midfield, and finish in 7th????

    Spurs had spent approx £80million on the starting line-up, brought on a £12million striker for the winner (Not to mention another £30mil on the bench) whilst Zola had about £12million in the starting line up!

    Money talks and we know what walks…..

    I still think seventh is possible. Wigan are struggling. We have villa and then chelsea next 2 games. We can get something off villa and then the following week when we are playing chelski, spurs have man united. Therefore if we were to win vs villa we would be looking very good for seventh. The Villa game is massive for us. Btw anyone else think tristan is an absolute waste of space??? laziest striker in the prem i rekon. Useless.
