West Ham: Zola Wants The Elegant Killer (Video)

Its good to see the relationship between Gianfranco Zola and Gianluca Nani is proving to be a success, we all knew that Curbs was never going to be the best of friends with Nani or even agree to Nani’s plans on making the club a success, different cultures and different ideas on new players is why Curbs went, Di Michelle is a proving factor in this debate that makes Nani right and Curbs who admitted he never heard of Di Michelle and didn’t want the player along with Illunga, Curbs was more interested in buying Thatcher.

According to the People, Zola has asked Nani if he can buy Riccardo Montolivo in January, even though the midfielder has 4 years left on his contract with Fiorentina, the signature could cost West Ham something in the region of £12m, without any hesitation Nani has supposedly given the green light to Zola.

Zola has great knowledge of Riccardo Montolivo from when he was an Italian under 21 player coached by Pierluigi Casiraghi and assisted by Zola.

Montolivo has an incredible ability in midfield with all the style of Ronaldo and pace of Theo walcott and makes Modric look pretty lame.

There will be problems in buying Montolivo, his coach Prandelli finds that £12m is a poor price to pay for a player of such quality.

Talks planned with New Manager

Roberto Mancini

After Slaven Bilic making it very obvious he will not be taking over as manager of West Ham (not yet anyway) the board have turned their attention to who could only be the manager we need.

According to C4 News, The West Ham board are setting up an interview with Roberto Mancini in the hope the great Italian manager will take the vacant post left behind by Alan Curbishley,

Mancini is a long time personal friend of Gianluca Nani and Fabio Capello which could be a big bonus in securing Mancini at a London club.

With luck the West Ham board may also bring in Paolo Di Canio as assistant manager and also interpreter as Mancini speaks very little English.

Mancini is a very stubborn manager that has a temper to match his managing skills, players are made to prove worthy of playing to get a start in the 1st team, he is also used to having a sporting director in his clubs and would welcome the help from Nani in finding quality players in the January Transfer window.

Nani eyes South American Super Striker

Gianluca Nani is keeping an eye on Chilean Super-Striker Sebastian Pinto and is willing to pay the £5m asking price from Brazilian club Santos according to The People.

The deal will only happen if Dean Ashton decides to leave, which really looks unlikely, as he just signed a 5 year deal with the Hammers worth £13m, but contracts in football mean nothing anymore, if a player wants to leave then more than likely the club will allow the move to happen if the fee is suitable, and in Ashtons case, rumours have it that a couple of clubs are willing to pay a heavy transfer fee.

Pinto (The Tank) would definitley be a suitable

The Italian Batallion

All good things come to those that wait, as the old saying goes. And after years of enduring heartache, we finally have everything in place…and Gianluca Nani.

We all seemed perplexed somewhat as to why everything was so quiet when he arrived, and wondered when the ball would get rolling. But as I said before, it’s just a matter of patience that is required, and then we will start seeing much change.

Signing Behrami is just the beginning of more talent coming to our club in the future; much of which will be down to Nani himself. This guy doesn’t mess around and is careful and articulate in what he does and who he wants. So in my opinion we have a man who will be a key factor in the progress and strengthening of our squad, who will be a major part of pushing us forward. Someone who will push our claret n blue batallion forward.

Patience

There are many who are saying we will struggle next season, and that there will be no major signings, which will be our downfall.

Personally I am not worried, nor will I be drawn into negativity. What we have to realise is that we have this Sheffield utd lot stalking us like Michael Myers did to Jamie Lee Curtis. Plus we have to offload some players that really don’t belong at the club. Plus we have the injury issue that is being addressed, and if what is written is true, then Nani is sending the injury
prone to Milan for assessment.

As far as the no big signings debate goes, the possibility is that this is just cloak n dagger stuff-a smoke screen if you like. But what must be realised is the fact we have

Landing Lanzafame

West Ham and Palermo are in a tug of war for the impressive Davide Lanzafame.

Yet despite what is going on it seems the young lad wants to join the hammers for a loan season - and this would be superb for our club, who have had limited goals and options upfront last season, with Bellamy out for most of the games and Zamora and Ashton also struggling with injuries.

He is a rising star with great potential and again showed this against Turkey in the under 21’s in a game that had plenty of bookings. But as reported on newsnow west ham united, he was one of the few players who kept his cool, aswell as scoring an opening goal.

If Nani’s influence can bring this young talent to Upton Park, then this will add even more strength to our firepower come the start of next season. And with Ashton, Bellamy, and our hardworking Zamora on board, it is a season to look forward to; providing Palermo don’t get

BG Tells Fans - No Big Signings this Summer!!

Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson is warning fans he will not be spending money on big signings, BG believes West Ham are capable of their new target next season with more or less the players that will be available from Injury.

“Although certainly less eventful than the previous season I have been pleased with our progress and it gives the club a platform from which to progress further,”

said Gudmundsson.

“I share the frustration expressed by Alan about the scale of our injuries but endorse his view that the squad he has assembled should be given a chance to play together while allowing the exciting young talents emerging from our academy to establish themselves in the first-team squad.”

Gudmundsson wants West Ham to emulate the model used by rivals Tottenham, who have succeeded in capturing talented young players like Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone and Michael Dawson for small fees - and watching their values skyrocket.

“When I first purchased West Ham I was keen to emphasise my long-term commitment to building the club,”

said Gudmundsson.

“To this end the club has invested at net £40m in the squad - and I hope that next season we will finally see a settled side with a realistic chance of competing for honours.

The club have appointed Gianluca Nani as technical director to oversee the new transfer policy and the Italian has a history of uncovering hidden gems from his time at Brescia.

West Ham lose out on Italian Ace

According to Footylatest

Palermo’s star striker will be a Juventus player within the next week according to the players agent. It seemed for a while that Amauri was going to choose AC Milan, but when they failed to secure a Champions League place for next season, Juventus got the nod.

Juventus have agreed to a £9m deal with Palermo that will see Antonio Nocerino and Davide Lanzafame go to Sicily as make-weights.

The Grimaldi brothers, who act as Amauri’s agents, met with Juventus directors Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco yesterday to finalise the deal.

“The negotiations have reached a good stage, in fact excellent,”

a statement from the agents read.

“We are satisfied and there are only a few small details still to be
