AC is setting up a bid for the Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant. It seems that the ex Arsenal player wants to leave Liverpool in pursuit of playing more first team football.

West Ham’s summer plans in the transfer market are believed to be ambitious, and the acquisition of Pennant would prove that the Hammers have the intent of becoming a top 5 side.

Pennant has found himself on the fringes of a heavily rotated Liverpool side, and has shown spells of his brilliance that was expected of him when he was 16 and signed by Arsenal.

The £6.5 asking price for Pennant may be the only barrier stopping the Irons signing the player.
