Ex Juventus star arrives this Friday

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The West Ham board have agreed a fee of £5m for ex Juventus Midfielder Stephen Appiah and have sent staff out to Turin to finalise the deal.

Stephen Appiah should be at Upton Park for a medical on Friday and all going well he will be training with the squad during the weekend.

The sale of Ferdinand for £8m has obviously given Curbs a little spending power hence why all of a sudden after weeks of negotiations this deal is at its latter stages.

Appiah did have a long spell from training and competing in  matches due to injuries, but now is 100% fit and ready to join the Hammers and to give Curbs some relief in an area that is lacking talent.

Landing Lanzafame

West Ham and Palermo are in a tug of war for the impressive Davide Lanzafame.

Yet despite what is going on it seems the young lad wants to join the hammers for a loan season - and this would be superb for our club, who have had limited goals and options upfront last season, with Bellamy out for most of the games and Zamora and Ashton also struggling with injuries.

He is a rising star with great potential and again showed this against Turkey in the under 21’s in a game that had plenty of bookings. But as reported on newsnow west ham united, he was one of the few players who kept his cool, aswell as scoring an opening goal.

If Nani’s influence can bring this young talent to Upton Park, then this will add even more strength to our firepower come the start of next season. And with Ashton, Bellamy, and our hardworking Zamora on board, it is a season to look forward to; providing Palermo don’t get Read the full story
