West Ham Vs Bolton: Live Streaming and Team News

West Ham have won both their games under new manager Gianfranco Zola. The former Chelsea player will try to extend the run when they host Bolton.

A win today will see West Ham go into 1st place, well at least for 90 minutes until Chelsea and Liverpool finish.

West Ham news: Craig Bellamy is pushing for a starting place in the first XI, although it is likely Zola will stick to Cole and Di Michele up front. Dean Ashton is still out with an injury, as is Kieron Dyer. Zola’s concerns will mainly be the defence, conceding a goal in almost every match lately.

Bolton news: Gary Megson who spoke highly of both Zola and his predecessor Curbishley will try to win the game at Upton Park as he has lanuched a health programme at the Reebok Stadium. Matt Taylor will be back in contention despite not having played any reserve game. According to Megson, Matthew Taylor is the fittest player they have. The manager admitted Bolton have had problems winning away but will try to collect at least one point against the Londoners.

West Ham United still have the best home record in the Barclays Premier League with three wins from three and secured their first away win of the season at Craven Cottage last Saturday. Bolton, meanwhile, have the worst away record in the league - losing all three away from the Reebok Stadium.

Our bet: 3-1.

According to the Mirror, West Ham are set to make an £8m bid for Johan Djourou.

Johan Djourou is a central defender and also is a Swiss international could fill in where Anton used to play.

Wenger could be tempted to cash in on Johan Djourou after securing the signing of Mikael Silvestre.

West Ham’s are looking to strengthen their defence and especially after yesterdays match where bad

celebrations after Ashtons goalWhat started out as a dominating game for Everton in the 1st half, Turned out to be a nightmare the moment Freddie Sears came on the pitch.

Mixed feelings for the Evertonians they’ve dropped two points in their pursuit of Liverpool and that fourth Champions League spot, but if that game had gone on for much longer West Ham would have surely won it. An odd affair, that game: West Ham were a total shambles for the first 25-30 minutes, then Everton took the baton of uselessness and ran with it. On the flip side, there have been some pretty decent Read the full story

The Full England Squad - Upson in, Green, Noble, Ashton Out

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Matty Upson has made it to the initial 30, but will only play if 100% fit. Green, Noble, and Ashton are not in the 30 selected.

The 3 x 4-0 Defeats is probably why West Ham’s potential England players were not selected.

Fabio Capello named the following squad today.

James (Portsmouth), Carson (Aston Villa), Kirkland (Wigan); Bridge (Chelsea), A Cole (Chelsea), Johnson (Portsmouth), Terry (Chelsea), Brown (Man Utd), Lescott (Everton), Ferdinand (Man Utd), Wheater (Middlesbrough), Woodgate (Tottenham), Upson (West Ham); Barry (Aston Villa), Young (Aston Villa), Bentley (Blackburn), J Cole (Chelsea), Lampard (Chelsea), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Gerrard (Liverpool), Hargreaves (Man Utd), Downing (Middlesbrough), Jenas (Tottenham); Walcott (Arsenal), Agbonlahor (Aston Villa), Crouch (Liverpool), Rooney (Man Utd), Owen (Newcastle), Defoe (Portsmouth)..

French Selection:

Arsenal have four of their players in the squad - Bakary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Mathieu Flamini and William Gallas while title rivals Chelsea have three men included - Florent Malouda, Claude Makelele and Nicolas Anelka - and Manchester United duo Patrice Evra and Louis Saha have also been selected by Domenech. Portsmouth’s Lassana Diarra is the only other English-based player included in the squad while Lyon have had nine of their players called up, Faubert was not selected after Fance’s Manager Domenech called him a fool for joining West Ham, Dont worry Faubert, your turn will come, probably when England slaughter France, and the French FA sack that prat Domenech.

The Italian Job: £28m Budget to bring in the Worlds Elite Youngsters

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Gianluca Nani is well respected in the world for his wheeling and dealing in spotting young talent, as he did when he spotted Kaka, Adriano.

With his current club Brescia he was given a £3.5m budget, part of this was to find talented young players, at West Ham, The Times believes he will get 8 times as much budget.

Nani believes that young players with great skills are the way forward and especially after watching Sears in action on Saturday, West Ham are already considered in his view as 1 of the worlds best Academies.

Curbishley will still have the last word on who HE thinks is suitable for the team, and then only HIS decision will be final, and to be honest, i can see lots of problems arising from this, but lets hope a Martin Jol saga doesn’t happen at Upton Park.

I can actually visualise a bright future for West Ham, with Chairman & owner Björgólfur Read the full story

BG & Curbs: No More the Feeder Club at West Ham

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

How many times have we sold our Academy stars, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and Glen Johnson, all have gone to keep the banks happy, and each has gone on to make his new club a success.

Is it a matter of time before our new young stars are snatched? Well the answer is Not a chance! with BG in the big mans chair, Curbs is convinced the likes of Sears will be with us for years to come.

Curbs went on to say:-

“Since I’ve been here that hasn’t been a threat and every indication I have is that we want to push forward,” said Curbishley. “I understand players have left here in the past but I think perhaps it was a different situation then.

“Of the last 20 years the club has had 15 in the top flight and a lot of the damage was done when they got relegated. I wasn’t here then but now no one is thinking of anything other than progressing.”

James Tomkins, Jack Collison and Kyel Reid are all waiting in the wings to play 1st team football, and due to our Mid table placing and YoYo Club Spurs losing today, Curbs is having thoughts on giving them a try.
