Two Days ’til Tott’nam…….
I have to confess I’m right looking forward to it, heightened by the fact that I’m going. Also, I look forward to a performance that will at least eradicate the memory of our poor showing against them at UP earlier this season under Mr Curbs.
But, when you stop and think about it, just how big a game is this really? Currently Spurs are the capitals’ 5TH best team behind Chelsea, Arsenal, ourselves and Fulham. They are not our main rivals at the moment in footballing terms but more on an emotive and historical basis. Maybe this, to us, should properly be viewed as just another local derby.
Indeed, if you look at it logically, we have much bigger games coming up including matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and Villa. These are arguably the games which will determine how good a season we will have.
Actually, looking at the run in, I do see Spurs as just another mid table team of no consequence and I expect us to get at least something out of the game at the Lane on Saturday.
