West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion Live
West Ham United face-off at home to West Bromwich Albion in week 29 of the Premier League. The Hammers are coming off of 2 wins in 4 days while last place West Brom need every point they can get.
West Ham United had a great week when they last played as they held serve at home over Manchester City on Sunday by a score of 1-0 and then followed that effort up with a 0-1 win away to Wigan Athletic at JJB Stadium. The side managed by Gianfranco Zola are now in 7th place of the Premiership log with 39 points, 6 points behind 6th place Everton. West Ham United are reporting a number of injury concerns at this time with Tristan, Collison, Behrami, Collins, Kieron Dyer and Ashton set to miss out while Boa Morte is doubtful.
The visiting West Bromwich Albion have won just 1 point from their last 6 matches. Last week the Baggies lost at home to Arsenal by a score of 1-3 at the Hawthorns. That result leaves the side managed by Tony Mowbray in last place of the Premier League with 22 points, and they are 6 points back of 17th place Newcastle which is the club they will need to catch in order to avoid relegation.

John Terry sends message to England Absentees
I would rarely have anything good to say about John Terry as a Chelsea player but as an England player today i have nothing but pride and respect for the guy.
After missing 2 crucial games for England through a back problem he made it his personal gaol not to miss the game against Germany tonight in Berlin.
Such was his patriotism John Terry put himself through a fitness test in his own back garden to make sure he was ready to take on Germany tonight and only 5 days after suffering an injury playing for Chelsea against WBA, Terry was certain he had damaged a bone due to so much pain but later to be given the all clear from his doctor, John Terry said:
“On Saturday, I was thinking I had broken a bone in my foot, what with having the experience of doing it against Arsenal last year and knowing what the pain feels like.
“I was really worried that night because I was desperate to play for England, especially after missing the two games last month.
“We booked a scan for 8am in the morning, but I was woken up at 6.30am by my kids (he has two-year-old twins) and I decided to do my own fitness test with them in the garden while it was pouring down with rain.
“I went for a little jog and I was fine. I phoned the doctor and told him I didn’t need the scan. I was thinking of going back to bed, but he told me to have it anyway just to make sure. I was delighted to get the all-clear afterwards.”
Capello has warned England absentees that avoiding friendlies could cost them their regular places as England players.
Premier Managers Benitez and Wenger has slammed the England game as waste of time due to it being months before the next England international.
John Terry sees this match as a stepping stone for the fellow Lions Scott Parker from West Ham United, Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Glen Johnson for whom he has great admiration, Terry said:
“I have stayed in touch with them and have enjoyed seeing them do well. Scott has done great at West Ham, Johnno at Portsmouth and Shaun at Manchester City.
“I was sad to see them go, but they have all benefited from playing regularly elsewhere.”
My hat goes off to John Terry and his cubs playing against England’s auld Enemy Germany, a win for England would bring shame to England’s absentees and pride to the faithful and the patriots.
Change of Luck for Newcastle?
We at West Ham have sympathy for the Newcastle fans and wish them a speedy recovery from the disappointing behaviour of their owner Mr Ashley.
But whilst wishing the magpies well, we do hope their luck does not change for the better this weekend at the cost of West Ham losing a match.
Ashton will not be playing this Saturday and its 50/50 that even Bellamy could be out too, i can here the Geordie fans sighs of relief already, but could the new attacking West Ham under the guidance of Zola and Clarkey be too much for the magpies to handle? as it seems the Newcastle defence is easy to crumble under too much pressure.
West ham were much the better team last week for 70 minutes against WBA, but fatigue cost the Hammers the game in the last few minutes, Fatigue and fitness is something that Zola and Clarke have been working on with the team all week.
As much as we, the fans of West Ham United wish Newcastle the best of luck, we also hope your best luck starts on Sunday 21st.
